I can give some direction. First open Control Panel, then Region, after that Administrative and Change System Local (Japan). And good is, this should do the trick.
Cameo character in Pocketgal Hunter and a character in Tales of Boinboin. Erin was in three games now I suppose. I didn't realize she was in 2 + Pocketgal Hunter. Didn't make the connection till you said this that it was her too, her eye color changed. I knew she become a demon or something in the first game but I didn't know her appearance changed so much.
This dev makes a lot of non obvious sequels. There's a sequel to Life is Paradise too, huh.
I don't think I ever finished Tales of Boinboin, wondering if I should play that first now.

Can't extract the game from the archive using WinRar. It just says that it is broken or has an unknown format. Is there something I can do?

You can try a different tool such as 7-zip and see if that works, or change the encoding used by winrar to Japanese shift-jis. otherwise you might want to try redownloading as your download may of become corrupt.

They are way better than Kagura.
Kagura has done some truly abysmal translations, they do their best work when they co-opt an existing fan translation.
Sometimes they do a good job, sometimes kagura's releases are barely intelligible buggy messes.

Kagura games for how people rave about them tend to put out extremely buggy translations or in the case of their latest one extremely broken and amateur H-status screens. (Curse of Kubel's H status screen is half translated and full of text overflow.) If I can make a semi decent status screen that avoids that, I expect a professional localization studio to do it better.
I never liked Kagura Games but hey they translate shit better then most so rather then supporting them I just pirate their games hehe.
I've encountered a bug after clearing the shrine east of fort skunk, that may be gamebreaking. After i got the item unobtanium, the main quest changes to 'give the item to Tomcat', but she says i don't have any materials to give to her.
