I'm still holding out hope that all of this just has to be some sort of elaborate ruse DPC is pulling on us - i mean, didn't he/she clearly state that BaDIK wouldn't even come close to AL levels of drama...? At this point i'm actually feeling bad about all the times (over the past year) i've told people that there was zero percent chance of us having to suffer through an AL 2.0 experience.
Just said the same thing myself about all this looking like it's going to be bad but maybe it's only temporary and things will get better, but I don't think this is DPC's style. DPC seems to want to lure you in with the promise of something good and relatively wholesome, but then will pull the rug out from under you and rip your heart out through your ass, and it looks like they're going to do it again. So all that talk about this being like college/teen romp movie like American Pie looks to be nothing but a lie.
And i have no idea why DPC even felt the need to just rush into multiple drama filled story lines at once - everything Quinn/drug business related, the mom stuff, Tybalt potentially sueing our MC, Maya's crazy father showing up, Jade resigning and the tape apparently getting leaked (i'm definitely missing a couple of things) - it's exactly like you said: Everything just feels insanely rushed.
And to top that off, i'm increasingly worried about getting completely locked out of certain characters content and my choices seemingly mattering less and less.
And a lot of the locking out doesn't make sense. The MC can be on good terms with Quinn despite everything she does, he can buy services from the restuarant, have a threesome with her and Riona, have a moment with her if he stays with Sage, find out that she might like him when staying with Sage, and have sex with her on the DIK mansion roof, yet just because of affinity and being with M&J she won't accept his help. That's honestly baffling because everything up to that point would surely have indicated she'd be open to his help, but it's dismissed for totally nonsensical, arbitrary reasons.
Holy Bacchus Do you actually know if DPC is a dude? Getting kinda tired of the he/she prounoun hassle
No, but it's very likely.
