In what possible world does Alice banning the MC from the strip club,make sense?
reading all the comments on this game is funny because i don't even think the dev knows his own story atm the Mc is a beta Alice owns him.

I just finished downloading the game and i was scrolling through the comment after reading some comment i decided to delete the game, First reason is MC is a pussy that let other push him around, not a fan of that kind of mc. And another reason is cucks. If his partner can get on with other woman and mc can't then i will not waste my time on a game like that. i alreay experience so many game with cucks and tease and a pussy of a MC that i don't want to touch the game.
no warning from me I use avast as norton and mcafee gave me too many errors over the years. try downloading from another site to be sure. I used nopy and it is clean
not really a cuck as they are work partners that hate each other. that is why she banned him from the club just to be mean in a funny kinda way
I like this one ok you have to skip a bunch of days but that is not a reason for me not to play. I mean the animations are really good and so are the models. the story is at its beginning so there is still a long way to go which I hope it does. I love the way you can select the animations during a sequence. I think these are some of the better animations out there and there are a bunch of them. to me it was worth the down load. thanks for the share.

The model is the same, because I put it up for a vote at my Patreon page. Seems like the patreons really like Amelia's model, so they chose it over the other one which ended up as Trisha'a model.
WW epilogue explains what happens with Amelia, so when it gets shared here, you'll see that in both endings it has nothing to do with i34

It's not about staying at home for 5 days, it's about game mechanics. This is not a pure VN, so you shouldn't count the days (though I agree that the counter staying at the same day during the story in ep. 2 is a bug) - you could've continued the story on day 2 if you wanted to do so. The idea behind this is to get sandbox elemets in a VN, so between episodes you get a chance to explore. Currently there isn't much "exploring" simply because it's not done yet. As posted before, I intend to have the release cycle split in 3 weeks for a story update followed by 2 weeks for free-roam update. Free roam updates will not necessarily follow the current episode - e.g. in the next free-roam release I plan to add events that new players can see between the first and the second episode as well as after the second episode. This is just the second update of the game, so I was more focused on making the framework for the game mechanics and to get the story started and this takes time.
i cant do anything, just grind the Day in the Flat and its Day 8... nothing i cant do, nothing Talk to, only the other Dtective... no action , no hints...... its annoying, i think i delete this shit... wasted Time

Yep, it's a Ranger game through and through.
- Using the same models and even the same default name for the MC as in the previous games. Check.
- Having good graphics but sprites instead of renders in conversations. Check.
- Pushover beta MC that basically gets things when others let him have it, even the same attitude as the previous games MC had. Check.
- Heavy focus on lesbianism that makes you feel the protagonist isn't the main character in his own story. Check.
- Linear story that has an interesting premise and setup but falls on a weak execution. Check.
Regardless of what a shit show SO and WW turned into ultimately, I still pushed through it because of the interesting background it had, but this won't be enough here.

I really didn't notify that it's the same dev responsible for waterworld, until now.
I liked that one in it's early state, but it got worse from update to update and i stopped playing it.
With Island 34 I just thought after 15 minutes gameplay ... WTF, what to do now? Again skip time and see if something comes up?

Before this update I was really hoping this game would beat out the SO/WW sequel in the Patreon poll but now I'm on the fence. Alice is so fucking annoying that the mere mention of her name ruins the following sex scenes at the moment. I mean I could believe her getting you banned from the club was a joke from the dev. And I could buy it being a catalyst for us fucking a number of wives/girlfriends while their husbands/boyfriends have fun at the strip club. I can even understand how Alice would be rightfully pissed at the MC for basically turning her into an alcoholic sex worker. But, if it was a joke it just missed somehow. Maybe because turning him into a voyeur was bad enough(although the making him a private detective was a good save). Maybe it's because I'm afraid no, convinced that it's going to be abandoned in favor of the series longtime Patrons are more invested in. But, this game still has a lot of potential. Alice still has a lot of potential. I'm still very interested to see who the killer is and how I as a player will react to and relate to them.
But, if the other girl is always going to talk about Alice every time MCs about to get laid and we can't go watch her and the other girls strip I'm going to lose my mind. Because it seems like it's going to be quite a few (if not damn near all) updates before we get to see MC fuck Alice. And hopefully she becomes less antagonistic after they fuck. Don't want to see her do a 180 and either ruin her character development. IF she gets any. Also the writing makes it seem like it could be a really fun place.

Just know before you download there is about 30 mins of gameplay (if you read everything).
There is an unskippable lesbian scene and two encounters with women who have pretty cool animated sex with you.
You do no choosing of actions/things you say so it's a kinetic novel.
It has an unimplemented roam feature that if you don't know it's not ready can really frustrate you as you let days and weeks pass hoping for a (random?) event to let you leave your bungalow and check out this totally enticing and completely undone/unmade sex island.
I found no real pleasure in the game as the sex scenes were super-unearned by the MC.
My partner is a bitch, I don't want to see/perv on her being undressed/nude if it doesn't change her attitude/lead to anything. Why have these scenes? (that end up repeating if you don't stop playing as soon as roam cycles once)
Needs a quest button so the player can know no quests are built and they should stop looking.
Same designer made Waterworld, which I tried and never finished.

The murder mystery could be interesting.
The MC could become more meaningful (with actual choices).
There could be women in the game that you want to have sex with instead of cyphers who fuck you at the drop of a hat.
The animations are kind of nice, but the unearned, sudden sex is uninviting to me.
If I just hit skip/skip/skip and am suddenly getting blown, that feels unearned.
I went back to see what the MC did/said to have sex and he did nothing at all. Both women jump him.
Several of my 'problems' with the game are due to it's unfinished state and the lack of a quests button to tell me the game (this version) has reached it's end.
Just played through the whole 'game' again. Kinetic novel. Should force you to stop roaming once you've 'wasted' 2-3 days. You have a murder to investigate and game shouldn't 'allow' you to waste 20-100 days. Maybe a silly gripe, but this flaw drove me to write this comment. Left the game soooo frustrated. Worst way to end a game, frustrated.

Thanks for the honest review. It's refreshing to see someone actually making a point why they feel the way they do. You made the effort to write it, so the least I can do is respond.
First of all - a little backstory on why and how i34 was started. Roughly a year in making of WW, I had plans for it to be the last game in the series. Going forward, I had a couple of options - a new sci-fi game or a completely different genre. I came across the Daz3d bundle for an island with villas, airport, downtown district, a hotel - basically the whole setting, so I started writing a story for it - in it's initial version it would've been a couple's resort where you and your wife went to resolve the issues in your marriage. No 'hardcoded' story - more like a sandbox game in which the more you progress, the more events get unlocked. Based on the comments I got for WW in messages from my Patreons I got the impression that most of them would enjoy a game which is more like a VN than a sandbox. So my attention shifted to planning the sci-fi game. The gameplay I had in mind was what you see in i34 - VN chapters with sandbox elements in between the chapters. Again - the plan was for it to have no connection to SO/WW story.
Fast forward a year and WW was coming to it's final release so I had to start making the next game. I wrote the story, I even have the dialogue for the first episode. But when I started looking for Daz3D assets to buy to make the actual renders, the sci-fi ones are not consistent enough. The end result would've been something like SO where bedrooms don't match the style, etc. So I decided to wait (for a year?) and do a placeholder game - I already had bought the island and all that remained was to add some kind of a plot to the game I had planned and change it's gameplay from a pure sandbox to a VN/sandbox hybrid. This is how the 'murder' element of the game was born. i34 is planned to take about an year to complete and the pace of the game is based on how the story is split on episodes. Events will be added between episodes, but they will not have any impact on the story, so it doesn't really matter how many I'll be able to do.
With the start of i34, there was a drop in Patreon pledges - maybe it was the second wave of Covid and the new lockdowns forcing some of my supporters to cut their non-essential spending, maybe they didn't like the i34 being in a different genre, maybe both. Like it or not, the funding I get on Patreon drives the game forward. I can't get the assets for the game or justify spending my free time working on the game instead of my family if there is no funding coming in.
That being said, i34 will NOT be abandoned. The worst that could happen to it is to be put on hold while I work on the third SO/WW game. As with SO and WW, that game will have a clear timeframe and once it's done I'll come back to i34. I don't want to go into details about it's story because the WW epilogue is not yet publicly released so I don't want to spoil it but expect something like WW in terms of development time (roughly 2.5 years).
Now about Alice and the others in i34. First of all, keep in mind it's stil ep.2, so the story is still building the relationships between the characters. Alice is annoying and is trying to piss you off with everything she does. As us software developers like to say - this is not a bug, it's a feature. In the beginning spiking her drink to loosen her up, sneaking a peek while she's having a bath will be your way to get even at her. Later in the game, those will become much more... explicit.
