I've just posted the next version of Island 34 to my €20+ patreons, which means it will be made publicly available on January 10th. It includes a couple of animated repeatable events and another one where you can add some alocohol to your partner's drink and she'll be topless at the pool and the hot tub for the rest of the day.
So - what's next? The poll ended today and 74% of you chose to have i34 put on hold and start the third game in the SO/WW series. The poll was open for a week but it went heavily in favor of this option pretty much from day 1, so I started thoroughly documenting the code for i34. This is the reason this update has only a couple of new animated events, but in my more than a decade long experience in being a software developer, there are at least two people who will read the code you write - yourself and yourself after 6 months. Well documented code might not matter for the first one, but it will mean everything for the other one. Unfortunately it meant that I couldn't finish the free-roam mode for the whole island either but at least I got the code for it (somewhat) working - what's I couldn't do in time are the location renders and the schedules for all the other characters.
With the code documented and stashed away in a remote repository, I'm starting with the next game in the SO/WW series. I'll add a few touch-ups to the characters, which means I'll have to re-render the images I did for the WW epilogue, because the game will start a bit sooner than where it ended in the WW epilogue, so for the sake of consistency, I'll have to re-do some of those images. The main goal for the first version is to have the space battle mini-game done - WW ended with Rebecca rushing to intercept the transport before they board your ship, so this will be in the first version of the game. As usual, I'll share the first renders I make for the game as soon as they are ready.
