The only thing I am sure of is I haven't even thought about this game or cared enough in a really long time. lol
I deleted all files from my PC. If the dev returns, great. If not, doesn't hurt me a bit. If there were a new update, I would have to start over anyway, just due to forgetting 90% of the game. haha .. so no biggy to me. I only show up here to clear out notifications, and occasionally read some entertaining posts.

Its not. The dev has for YEARS only ever given the game minimal updates a year. For some reason it still shocks and surprises people that nothing has changed regarding Waifu Academy lol. Great game, always has been but then its also been subjective as to worth the length of time often required to wait. Me? I dont finance it so he can take as long as he desires, ill play every update when it comes out one way or another.

Well every one here is wishing for that "Complete" tag for this game no one can deny that. But no one can also deny the part about the dev update progress of the game, so it's hard to say if this game will get a "Complete" tag on it.
We established why Waifu Academy updates have such a long development time. This is because Waifu Academy is actually a meme collection, disguised as an adult vn. The update can't be released until enough new, high quality memes have been developed for the game to incorporate and build the story around. Unfortunately, because memes have a limited shelf life, for maximum impact they need to be as fresh as possible. So this means all the memes for each update must be new and spicy to be eligible. As a result, the long development time is due to the wider internet community not providing enough good meme content for Irphaeus to be inspired by. Essentially, it's everyone elses fault.

I can understand the need for inspiration part, but not sure I can buy into the "lack of content available on the massive storage unit that is the internet" part. lol
My facebook feed is littered with juicy content, daily. It's all about what fits and what doesn't, but within a year's time, I find it difficult to believe there isn't enough out there to give at least a 3-6 month update.
There's more reason for it taking this long than just inspiration.
Here's a juicy one that's recent. There are plenty..but I found this in a matter of seconds lol.

This game was already abondoned. The dev somehow provided an unexpected update to "revive" the game.
After the last updatehthe dev said that he will give updates each two weeks on Patreon and that the next update will take only 3 months. Both did not happen - so it is likely that this game will be marked as abondoned again. I am looking forward to this
