How the hell do you progress in this game? I'm on day 210 and I have maxed out fight with Helena and have heal and shield (which does little or nothing) and Kirkan 2 hits me every time and so do the Amazons most fights with orcs I lose regardless of healing or using shield. I have the best sword I can buy and the armour from the hag. How do I raise Dex?

You have sex with more girls.
It's not about being the best fighter you need to interact with the characters.

To improve DEX you need to find the head of the thieves guild and have her train you.

You already have the portal map and already visited the amazon camp. So you don't need to go there again.

I'm always getting a "charm check failed" when defeating the Amazon's. My charm is already at 22. What am I missing there?
EDIT: Nevermind. I got there after I managed to raise my charm level up to 25.

But I came across a possible error: When I want to give Kira a present it always states: "Don't give Helena anything now."
I'm unable to give Kira a present despite having chocolates and roses in my inventory.
Seems like an error to me.

The Kira/Helena thing has no effect on gameplay and is just an error. IIRC, If you have reached the max for the level foe a char you can't give pressies.

Date checks are random. You can succeed or fail doing the exact same thing with the same stats. Just have another date.

I don't really think so. I'm also quite sure that there are some thresholds in place which - if you don't meet them - lower your odds a lot at least. Right now with a charm level of 26 or 27 I still fail roughly three times out of four, maybe even four times out of five to get a successful date with Lilith.

It's a bug, if you didn't solve her riddle the first time she doesn't show up again.

You can reset in the console with

CHAR_SPHINX.relationship = 0

Well, maybe give us a chance to solve her riddle then. It doesn't make any sense if the MC just gives a dumb answer to the riddle and the opportunity is lost. That's no fun at all!

So, my impression right now is that the hint system needs some overhaul. Sometimes you really don't know which thresholds you need to meet to succeed with certain dates, riddles or similar things. I for example went for more balanced stats for the MC but it really seems like this isn't the best approach to succeed there. So either we need way more women to polish out the stats in a balanced manner or the hint system needs to tell us what we should focus on.
Also it would be nice if you reached certain levels that the MC doesn't act dumb or fails randomly. Either he became intelligent and charming or not. Either he learned magic or not. But not both. That is annoying because it leads to unnecessary grinding.

They are random but also based on your charm and if you do things during the date that she likes.

I sort of don't have the time and expertise to them. Its not like this is my job nor am I really getting paid to work on it.

I would love you to work on them for free for me so they can be up to your standards.

Many systems use randomness or die rolls. They are not all wrong because they do that, it's just a different way of doing things.

In real life people don't just succeed every time or not.

not sure if it was intentional but if you meet Sphinx and fail her test or run away you won't see her again... so here is small patch for it (should work with future updates as well)
