Really good game overall so far...but sweet jesus the character writing went completely jump-the-shark overboard with all the girls' constant internal monologue additions.
Like you already have the MC written in as a complete 'every girl wants you" stud. That extra layer of non stop "here is a reassurance ego boost for you just in case what is happening in the game isn't enough to adequately pet any extreme insecurity complex a player might have" is actually serving to be more immersion breaking as whole then anything else. Which also just waters down the female characters as individuals imo, and in essence just accomplishing the exact opposite of it's intended effect for me. It's basically like the writer wants me to feel alpha while playing it, while at the same time trying to remind me non-stop that they are writing these character presentations under some hard assumption that I'm actually anything but and some fragile flower type.
I mean beggars can't be choosers I guess when it comes to games that at least get the solid english presentation right I guess...but yeah. You could pretty much delete out 90% of that and the writing comes out the other side better for it minus the small handful of people out there that need and/or are actually going to get off any extra on that type of petting.
