Haha yeah. You definitely won't like those games.

Rather, I prefer to choose individually if I want an LI for the harem or not; without being forced to choose between several necessarily. In many games I discard LIs that don't interest me for different reasons, generally because they include fetishes that I don't like, because I don't like their personality or for other reasons.

In addition, in many other games each LI can have several different routes (generally a more romantic one, which is the one I choose, and another more focused on corruption). In some games you can discard LIs or follow two different routes with each one (which makes 3 routes for each LI; although one is rather short), which really gives enough freedom to define the relationships of the MC.

On the other hand, if there are no choices, I don't play, so kinetic novels are not exactly my thing (I usually discard them from the beginning)

As I say, what I don't like is NECESSARILY discard an LI choosing between several. If I discard an LI I prefer it to be because I want it and not because the game forces me.

Just started the game today, got this far, have decided based solely on this to join the Church of Mr. Bear.

I hate having to choose who to save. Even more so when the choice is hidden.

Save Kyouko early on, and you lose the change to start Taka's route later on. It won't even be a choice later on, it just won't happen.

There's also the choice between Naomi and Akane. This one is a straight forward A or B choice, but it is still annoying to know that the one I don't choose is probably going to be locked out for the rest of the game.

Plot-wise it seems unlikely that the MC is never going to encounter them or show an interest in them again.
If you skip Taka, then the friend even suggests visiting another day.
Naomi and Akane are both teachers that already encountered the MC semi-regularly at school.

It feels lazy to me.

Of course. I wouldn't be posting if I didn't enjoy aspects of the game. I don't know if it is the pacing or the characters but something you are doing kept me engaged and interested in the events as they occurred.

It is because I enjoy your writing that I hate having to 'abandon' characters.
