I think that the fact that we're also playing with real life time between the chapter makes a lot more emotional. like we went from living with the guy next door to being engaged with him and to some people you barely get to see him after that because your mc is away (travelling, work abroad etc...) so it feels like we have not seen him in ages even though it has only been months from the original game and a couple of week from the patron release

I really would love to have Derek as a love interest. Should that be the case, I'm going to havea second playthrough and see how it is. Realistically, I probably would have a hard time choosing between the both of them lol

Sooo, I just finished playing step 3 and the 18+ bonus (saving step 4 for when it's done), and wanted to share some quick thoughts as well as a question I have.
First off, I cannot believe how adorable, charming and wholesome this game is! Cove us an absolute sweetie, and I love how it gives you enough freedom to roleplay your character in a pretty believable way, despite the relative diversity they can have (I played as an outgoing, direct, sporty bi guy), and all the little details of their backstory as the game progresses.The additional name packs is really nice too - despite the relative infrequency that it uses the name sound file, it's still nice to have that additional attention to detail! All in all, the idea and execution of the game felt fresh and memorable.
I loved practically all of the characters, too. My favorites were both of MC's mums, Derek, Cove's mum Kyra, and Cove himself. I also liked Cove's dad Cliff, Lee, Liz, Baxter, and Jeremy. I do wish that Baxter, Jeremy and Derek got a bit more content though - Baxter could do with more fleshing out, and I just want more content of Jeremy and Derek in general, cos they're interesting.
Shiloh is the only character I really didn't like - sorry, he was pretty adorable as a kid, but an absolute shit as a teen, and pretty unlikable.
Now to my questions. I played the 18+ patch, and although it was a nice touch to have that additional content, I was left feeling a bit disappointed that it only went as far as it did. Not that I was expecting to go further in the first time, but all things considered, I did really hope there would be at least one (preferably 2 or 3) scenes that would go further after that. So my question was, does anyone know if the dev has plans to add more 18+ scenes at all?
Don't get me wrong, I really love the wholesome content, but generally by the time of the end of step 3, or even halfway, it's starting to push the boundaries of realism that there's no even a tentative foray into the sexual, or at least the option to if MC's character is inclined (and it aint fair dangling someone like Cove in front of our eyes and not letting us ravage him fully). Also, once that can of worms has been opened, well...
But yeah, I really am enjoying this game so far. Oh, and another question - does anyone know how far along Step 4 is to completion?

I believe that GB Patch announced on Patreon that due to the popularity of the R-18 Patreon Moment, they may make a second one that's situated when Cove and the MC are more comfortable with sexual activities, so probably during Step 4 or post-Step 4. But note that this is something for the future - since the devs are currently focusing on completing Step 4 and the remaining DLCs plus possibly the demo for OL2 on a timeline (Step 4 & Wedding this summer and the Derek & Baxter DLCs during the remaining months of 2021) I expect that this will take longer to be written, programmed and finished.
As for how far Step 4 is to completion, it's announced on their twitter that it's set to release late summer, so probably late August or perhaps early September. They give daily updates on their twitter about Step 4 progress, and right now they are in the middle of formatting new assets and programming new scenes into the game.

Dev likes to bully Cove, didn't need to made fun of him for 90% of the options to reply to him, specially when it's not his type of clothes (ref step 2, soiree moment). Let me flirt with him instead, haha.

Download the apks for each DLC, and install each one. Once installed, it will automatically update your base game if you have it, though I didn't download the base one and just went straight to installing the Step 3 DLC. Make sure that the DLCs all have the same version number (the Step 3 DLC was updated awhile back due to bugs, and GB Patch also updated the apks for Steps 1 & 2 DLCs.) Installing all the DLCs into one game won't work if they have different version numbers, the same goes for the main game if you have it.
On some phones only 1 DLC apk is playable at a time, even if you installed all them in one go. I don't know the workaround for this problem, but I installed the DLCs on android in this order: Step 3, 2 & 1, and it works fine for me and I was able to play all DLCs in one playthrough.

Hello everyone!
After the big surge of activity around OL from the Patreon Bonus Moment launch, this month might be a little more lowkey. But, considering what else could be happening, maybe it'll be even busier, haha.
And if you haven't tried out that Patreon side story, it is still available at the Fans tier and up. It's not a limited time reward only for July. With that said, let's get into all the exciting new stuff to look forward to.
Monthly Content Plans:
So, about that Step 4 release. Summer in the US (where the game is set) technically ends in September, so that's the latest it'll take. But we know most people would prefer if it came out in a month like August that's much more synonymous with summer vibes. I can't say with 100% certainly that it'll be fully done and polished this month, but we're definitely gonna try our best. We'll know in a couple more weeks what the release date will likely be! Look forward to the epilogue coming out at least relatively soon, though.
We'll also be expanding Our Life: Now & Forever's production even more, since fall is beginning to appear off on the horizon. That'll also be really cool.

A part of me feels conflicted because I can sense the pressure on Team 1, and I wish Team 2 would assist them instead of working on the second game, which will probably go out only next year.
Team 1 were hired exclusively for OL1 and team 2 were hired exclusively for OL2 pretty much every member of both teams are freelancers GBPatch only has a few permanent employees and they mostly do management come up with ideas for games/write the scripts for games and run the Patreon/Twitter/Tumblr/Discord/Official Website.
