Did you download a full version of the game or a patch?
In case you just downloaded a patch, did you install all necessary patches before the latest one?
Hmm, strange...
We haven't heard this issue yet from any of our backers, or happened to us during coding.
If your 0.7.6 version was working normally before this update, then the only thing that I can think of is that something went wrong while you applied the 0.7.7 patch.
(Not saying it's user-error(Although possible), but maybe something went wrong during the download or unpacking)
Can you verify that you followed these steps exactly while applying the patch?

If so, then unfortunately, you'll have to try and download the package again and see if that solves the issue.
I had the same issue. I have a mac. I followed the steps to install the patch, when I get to the step to "merge" it, the only option it gives me is to replace it because all of the files are technically already there. I'm not sure exactly how to merge it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Since I have to delete it once I'm done playing each version (don't ask, lol) In all of the previous versions all I did was delete the game, then re-download it, then play from my last save. sometimes the patches can be confusing for some of us lol

It looks like there are either 3rd Party tools like The Finder to merge folders, Ditto commands or something about holding down an Option key.

Adding torrent links for the full HQ file is something we want to start doing from the 0.8.0 update on out.
Just a quick note, the DLC is planned for when the main game is done, as shown in the link underneath.

The changelog says something about new text messages, but I'm not seeing any. The new content is not triggering (except the mother and sister content at midnight), and I can't get into the mother's laptop.

Text messages for M&S should be new in level 7 now.
All the old ones (placeholder from level 6) got replaced by new ones.
What's happening when you try to enter M's laptop?
Are you able to play Eve's content?
The laptop just tells me that I need to look for clues. I click on the other items around the room (like I did with the sister's laptop), but I'm finding nothing.
I don't know how to start Eve's content. I don't know where to look.

Guys just a little question, can someone tell me if the difference from HQ to LQ are so heavy?
I mean we lost to much if we play in LQ?
Because till now i always play in HQ, but man... 13gb are really to much... compared to 3gb from the LQ.
So can someone tell me if playing in LQ makes me lose a lot in terms of graphics?

Hey!
It is noticeable, that's for sure.
But it mostly depends on the resolution you're running.
On an HD monitor, it's not as bad as on an WQHD one.
I made a small comparison a while ago — you can find it here.
You'll see it'll get slightly blurry.

One thing I would recommend is that you just get the LQ version for now.
But, for future updates, just use the HQ patches for the new content.
This way all the old content you already know will be LQ, but the new content will be HQ as you know it.
Scripts and all are the same, the patches only differ in image and animation quality.
That reduces the storage space by quite a bit.
When it gets too big again, just get a new LQ version and start the process over.
Edit: You can do it already if you want to. Just get the 0.7.6 LQ full version + the 0.7.7 HQ patch
