My hopes will last until January, then I'll go cry in the bathtub
Last update was 19 months ago, few more weeks and it'll be 20. Last post on patreon had this line in it, " I intend to release again this month and start putting out content regularly again.", that was in July. The last news on Discord was the dev planned to release at the end of September. Its almost November. Not to be too pessimistic but the way the dev and game has been the last 19 months, I'd save time and climb in to that tub and cry now. Honestly I'd love for the dev to prove my ass wrong and start releasing updates each month again, but considering the way its been I'm not holding my breath.

The last update on Patreon was in July, wasn't it? That's only three months. Still a while, but not almost two years.

Sorry, I think I missed a word when I typed the post. Last game update was 19 months ago. I was saying that this hasn't had a update since March 2020, that was version .13. Sorry if I mislead you.

Sorry for the necro, but could you post the discord link? I can't find it anywhere.

No way to actually make an invite link so I hope this works
That link only works for people already on the server. Do you know whether the developer is active on there? I am thinking about becoming a patron, but there's no point if it's a dead project.

The server is pretty much dead anyway. As mentioned in the thread, the last update (v13) was posted in March 2020, so in a few months it will have been 2 years without any actual game update. General news updates, the last was on the 30th September.

Why do dev's never announce that they are leaving the project and leaving us all hanging on a string. It's annoying

At least in my experience, they don't announce that they're leaving or quitting because they haven't actually stopped/left (unless they died). But - especially when the game isn't your full-time thing - a short break to do something else can easily spiral into a months-long hiatus if you lose track of time and then get embarassed about lack of progress or communication. And that's just what can happen in normal times - let alone the shit DU went through.

Discarded Union, from what I understand, was a freelancer and had lost their job. In the announcement they made that they had lost their job, they used losing their job as an excuse to work on the game full-time. Though, this obviously didn't happen or we would have v14 by now.
