Always assume things will take twice as long as your worst-case estimate. So we should expect it around september or october 2022.
What if... my worst-case estimate is in a week?..
I have never thought that 2D game needs so much time to be updated, especially when there is already enough characters and locations..

2D drawn can generally take more time than the 3DCG stuff. Though the jap hentai devs seem to roll out those kinds fast/faster... Then again those are more than just a two man production team that has an entire industry behind it, rest of the world, not so much I believe.
There is s daily progress tracker on their discord page. Anyway next update won't be ready before some months at current progress pace. My guess is after middle May. I think we can expect a couple updates per year until game is completed

Hi everybody.
I hope you've had a great week. Here's a summary of what we did in the last seven days:

the remaining achievements. Additionally, she worked on Jebediah's sprite, adding several hands and variations, and designed two new cutscenes.Pistachio:
My goal was to complete the second part of Rose's first think quest, and I'm happy that I managed to achieve that goal and even nearly finish the third and final stage of the first think quest. I wrote several new scenes, coded in the cutscenes Chestnut had prepared, and created sound effects for a few scenes. Editing the dialogues before posing them and debugging issues that crashed the events I was working on were also things I did last week. I'm still missing posing most of the cutscenes from Rose's first quest, and I've not touched the sex scenes, but all of the dialogues with sprites are posed, which is encouraging.
Next week's plan:
I'm going to spend the weekend going through the text of the second quest, revisit and edit it to prepare the dialogues for posing. Then, during the week, I will start with the first step of the second think quest and try to advance and pose as much as possible.
Chestnut will work on Rose's sprite and spend the rest of her time doing cutscenes.

yeah drawing each new individual character pose from scratch and each new scene viewpoint from scratch and each animation from scratch is WAY easier and faster than rendering 3D models,............
There are honey select based games (even without custom animation) that are updated once or two times per year...WAL is hand drawn and hand animated, and the team is basically 2 people (with a paid external artist engaged to help with backgrounds, etc.). I don't think we can pretend an update every one or two months...

Are there any other games like this that people can recommend? That's not Summertime saga...
Not that anybody could ever get away with stealing a work of art like Bella or Jill from Being a DIK, so the best ones are hardly clones. But it is nice to see such great drawings. The only other game with ones of similar quality is Sanguine Rose. I especially like the humor, although it feels like that is dropping off as you progress. At this point in released content, it is mainly Holly's slapping the MC and Kevin's behavior that are the humor part, or it felt that way playing the game on Gamcore. The beginning is hilarious though. I especially liked the palm-reading results: "Hair loss at 30"!
