There are different kids of NTR, like netori, or NTR that is actually wellwritten, but still optional, like in Long Story Short. Basically, people look at game's premise, the quality of the game itself and from thereon decide if they are willing to compromise with the NTR, depending on the kind of NTR that it is.
That being said, if the NTR is just uninteresting and is basically the so-called LIs not giving MC the time of day and getting pounded by everything and everyone else for what feels like most of the story, people will be understandably upset. Another problem arises when a game gets non-NTR and NTR routes, but the content for the NTR route is substantially more and more worked on than the content for the non-NTR route. It's really not that hard to understand.

Gave it a look, despite the NTR tag. Not my thing at all, but I'd classify it as "light" right now, but I suspect it's going to ramp up a lot, so unless that's really what you're into you'd best be prepared.
