I don't think she was as carefully built as she seems. Feels like if this was always the plan the character would have had a more constant presence throughout the game, but she disappears for a good few chapters and then returns with a very different personality, which could work internal logic wise, but just feels rushed narratively. I think she was probably just another option, then DPC decided she would work for the climax and repurposed her for that.Indeed. She was carefully built to let your guard down. Comely but not breathtaking, nice and fun, clearly interested but not suffucating, the game doesn't push you heavy handedly toward her like other titles i won't mention, apparently no string attached, early in the game. She feel like an enjoyable safe fuck. Indeed .
Honestly a game that makes you truly feel attached even to the male support character says tons about the quality of the writing.
Yes Megan is the presented as the "right" choice, hence why the game is written around her romance, and she's forced on you, while others you usually have to deal with obstacles, or can reject. Though i think the dev kind of changed their mind on this towards the end and wanted Melissa to also be another "right" choice(that's probably why the penuptulate decision is about choosing either person). Nonetheless Megan has the "best ending", with aspects of her ending being split between Mel and Rena, which honestly felt pretty tacky as i think 2/3 endings don't do the character's arcs as much justice as it could have(Mel's feels most relevant to her character arc).Hey guys, why did the devs make a flashback with Anna after sex scene with Melissa?
There is also a flashback with Rena-Anna during acting lessons
And only with Megan we don't have flashbacks about Anna. (maybe i'm wrong and forgot something)

There is same flashback with Megan during their date in restaurant.
As therapist later suggested it was just some kind of deja vu.
Not sure about the sex scene but there is a flashback while on your dinner date with Megan.

Yea Liam was pretty awesome, you could tell DPC thought a lot about the challenge of having a Male Best Friend in the game that both didn't feel like a romantic threat to the player, and was somebody we wanted to engage with.

Dr P wrote the whole story (the plot at least) before he started creating the game, so Leah's arc didn't change as he went along. You are missing some details about Leah, like when she raped Jonas while he was unconscious in the hospital very early in the story, and it was her watching Jonas, Megan and Melissa through the window.I don't think she was as carefully built as she seems. Didn't miss anything, the game explains all that to you pretty explicitly. If DPC did have Leah's arc planned out, they did a pretty terrible job implementing it. She dissapears for a fair amount of the narrative, and has a lack of presence, then when her twist is revealed, the explanation feels heavy handed, and there's a serious lack of impact as we barely know her. Hell you could replace Leah as the villain with Mel's step-father and it would still work, that highlights how poor her arc was executed.Dr P wrote the whole story (the plot at least) before he started creating the game, so Leah's arc didn't change as he went along. Should play Being A Dik. Pretty much confronts many of the issues with this game.Maybe at one point, this game could be "remade" and remove Megan being forced upon the MC. Regardless, fantastic game.
I already did, of course. I meant about this game in particular.Should play Being A Dik. Pretty much confronts many of the issues with this game.
No, harem choice in this game. It's a one-and-done ending. The fire always happens, someone always dies. Just the way it is.Models 9/10
Gameplay 7/10
Storyline 1/10
MC 8/10
Overall 6/10
After replaying the game twice (as there is 20+ different outcomes), I got really disappointed and deleted the game. Models and gameplay are quite good, even the storyline somehow makes sense and there is bunch of twists, which is really interesting... However, the fact that "Leah" storyline exists in the game is really shitty... First time I tried to have harem ending (not sure if even possible), and after two girls (out of four, not considering Hedweg and Angela) accepted me as-is, Leah "happened"... i got sooooo pissed, but I slept it over and decided to try again, but now I would reject Leah from start... and lo-and-behold, same shit again... So regardless what you decide with Leah, the ending will always be shit... And this is such a turndown for me... In the end, I just decided to drop it and move on to another game...
I think you should delete three of those since you quad-posted the same thingapparently you have no empathy
Yeah this was one of my very first VNs (along with CoBD, DIK, and Milfy City), after I finished playing it, left me a whimpering mess under the bed covers for four days. It was rough. It still stings from time to time when I do go back to it.Oh, FUCK YOU DrPinkCake! Here I am, trying to play a game with all kinds of naughty goodness, and you give us a game I was totally not emotionally ready for! Fuck, that's some heavy shit! I'm not crying, you're crying. FUCK! ... good game, though.
