It's just soooo brutal. lol. You'd think by day 237 over the course of 4 slaves I'd have increased my rank once. Now I'm depressed. lol. Do sex skills not count then? Because I've trained my assistant and she's even been eager to do it, but none of them have increased my count.
High diligence in common skill personal lessons is the only way to increase the master's teaching skill. Sex lessons increase the master's corresponding sex technique.
I hear you, and now that I actually understand what's required I'm finally making some progress. One of the "mistakes" I made due to not understanding how it works was in trying to train my slaves personally before they become obedient enough to put the effort in. Early game, I should have been relying on the classes and not even bothering to try until I have their obedience. I was doing it the exact opposite way, so by the time they became obedient, I had already run out of other things to teach them which is why all my time spent teaching skills has resulted in no actual gains. I just turned this slave obedient and thankfully hadn't taught her much yet so I'm FINALLY making gains right now. I just wish I knew that before.
I'm not sure about your conclusion here. If you can teach them yourself, you save sparks, although it may take longer to level up their skill. When you're in a hurry for them to gain skills, classes and tutors (or your assistant) will be better than you for a long time, so trying to optimize for raising your teaching skill might not be the best prioritization. It will happen naturally as you teach obedient slaves later in the game.
Well what I'm saying is in the early game, there weren't very many skills I could teach yet at all. I spent a lot of time cleaning so I could teach maid skills, and I did it specifically so I could try to level up my teaching skill, but knowing what I know now, that was futile at that point in time.

It's a mild restraint on how much activity you have your assistant do. If she drops all the way down to Bony she'll automatically start eating more to get back to Model, but while she's Bony she'll have less energy and a negative moodlet.
Specializations require skills to be the greater of B+ or the slave's rating.

Unfortunately I couldn't afford all of them at that point. I had borrowed all I could, she was an arena champion with the earnings that entailed, and I was effectively broke with everything riding on the sale. lol If she hadn't won the arena fight days before I would have had game over. haha
Charm not only means style, her exoticism, fame also matters a lot.
lol I didn't know that going to the beach would solve the bathing problem. Because I never got to get more than 2 for rewards when living in the Slums aside from winning the tournament which I used that reward to give slaves sundresses. Right now I'm grinding for money by quicksaving, buy 20$ slave and win the arena for 50$, then I butchered the slave for some $$. I calculated the money I got from this is around 20-40$ (depends how fat the slave is).
