I went back and tried Avalon after finishing Petal Among Thorns, and I thought Avalon had better writing which was a little surprising as normally writers get more refined as they go on. In Petal, the daughters and father are practically indistinguishable in text alone. They all speak overly descriptive and poetic, for lack of a better word. Avalon's characters felt more differentiated, and you could easily take any line of text and guess who said it. It's a little strange. Makes me wonder if there were different people working on the text (writing or editing) behind the curtain. For what it's worth, that was my only qualm with Petal. Not trying to bash it. Just making an observation.

Well, this game had its own problems already, like having Penny be a Mary Sue. So I never really played other Lockheart games. They had a promising future, but I hard passed on Penny for Your Thoughts. I do plan to try Petal among Thorns, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

How much Lesbian content is there in the game and how much of it can you avoid? I'm currently playing "A Petal Among Thorns" and I'm interested in more of this authors work.

There's definitely some female on female content in Lockheart's other works. So far there's only a little bit of it in A Moment of Bliss, but MC is always directly involved. Its not avoidable, but unless you find the very idea of a woman touching another woman repulsive you should be safe to play that one, at least for now. In Avalon there's definitely some lesbian content without the MC being involved. It is avoidable by following the monogamous path, but it also removes all content with the side girl. Penny For Your Thoughts follows a lesbian protagonist, so you might wanna skip that one entirely if you don't want to see that kind of content.

It's not that I find the idea of a women being together repulsive, not at all. It's just that writers and game devs tend to act like girls being together isn't sharing because "all girls are bi" or "lesbian sex isnt real sex". In fact, the way they treat lesbian relationships in such a diminishing way is way more homophobic then not being interested in that content.

It's still Sharing/NTR and I really dislike it when I'm emotionally attached to the characters.

Could you please tell me more about "Moment of Bliss", tho? I'm getting fairly attached to Petal and I'll want to play the sequel games. How much of it is there and who are the characters envolved? Is it completely unavoidable? Is it to jarring and emotional?

I'll have to get into spoiler territory then. And I obviously can't comment on what you'd find jarring, but here goes.

Holy fuck, being forced to watched that is already making me consider drop both games straight up, wtf?

It's what I told you before, most writers and devs don't believe lesbian relationships are real, so they do this shit without even thinking about it.

Imagine it was Bliss sucking on some dude's cock. You'd consider it NTR or Sharing, right? The only reason people don't get annoyed by it is because they don't think lesbian sex is real. It's so fucking insane.

I would definitely not consider it NTR no, but that term has become so watered down as to be near meaningless, people don't remember it's actual meaning. It is sharing yes, which I have zero issue with. Personally, I find the idea of two women who are both involved with MC being involved with each other as well hot. If this content isn't for you that's fair enough, but you're assuming a bit much about the writer's point of view here. Simply jumping to the conclusion that they don't view female on female relationships as real is a bit of a leap. And no one is forcing you to watch anything, the game contains sharing, if that's not for you you can simply not play it.

I agree with what you say, but the game is improperly tagged. The only reason for this is because people dont consider it Sharing. Why don't they consider it Sharing? Because they don't see M+F the same way as F+F.

I really don't think it's a leap. I've been on this site for a long time, and I encounter this problem in 99% of the Harem games that exist. People simply don't think a sexual encounter with a woman "counts". If it were a MMF threesome, they'd be crying out and throwing a tantrum. If it's FFM, they don't care.

And to be clear, I love FFM threesomes. I just hate when the girls are more focused on each other instead of the MC, I'd rather them "gangbanging" the MC and not really give a shit for each other.
I think the reason it isn't tagged sharing is because there was no sharing or lesbian content in the first release, and no one updated the tags when the update with it dropped.

And yeah players like that definitely exist, but that's also fair enough. Some people love sharing, some hate it, some are fine with it if "their" dick is the only one in the picture. Maybe this says something about how a lot of people view women and lesbian relationships, but this isn't really the place to discuss that I think. These games are fantasies, and people come here looking to experience fantasies. For some people, that includes a harem full of women that fuck each other as well. I see no problem with it. I can't comment on the mindset of most writers as I do not know what they put into it, but I do know Lock. He does not view lesbian relationships the way you're accusing him of. You're right about players being crazy whiny about any sharing with any males though, which is a shame, I enjoy that kind of sharing too.

As for your preference in FFM threesomes, I really like it when everyone is getting it on with everyone, different strokes. If this is a problem for you, AMoB simply might not be for you. So far there's only that one lesbian scene I mentioned, but I get the sense there will be a fair bit more in the future. This isn't confirmed or anything, but its where I feel the story is leading.

I absolutely respect your right to get the content you want. But that is the thing that aggravates me: I don't have the right of having the content I want, and people that like the type of content you like never respects the people like me that want to avoid.

I simply do not understand why can't we have it both ways: just add a simple skip scene button or a content filter that allows you to avoid these scenes and replace with others, even if they are simpler to have less work. I cant understand why we are forced to deal with it and are never respect enough.

I don't think anyone has a right to any specific kind of VN. No one owes it to you to make the kind of content you want exactly. Devs can make whatever they want. In this specific example, this is the story Lockheart wants to tell, it includes these elements you don't like. It's not on him to change his story to suit you. Its not on anyone. As for how easy it is to make it optional, Lockheart actually considered making Nixie's content optional but decided its too important for the story he wants to tell. That is his call to make.

It's unfortunate for you that a lot of games have content you object to, but that is the case for a lot of players. Personally, I find myself having to spacebar through a lot of loli content, but you don't see me demanding loli free games.

I do think harem games without even the kind of sharing you object to exist though. I could be wrong, but of the top of my head I remember no lesbian content in From The Eclipse for example. Or in My New Memories.

Entitled? Damn dude, that's so harsh for literally no reason. I'm not demanding anything, I'm just asking for a freaking skip button. Petal Among Thorns has a skip button for Feet Content, but you don't see Feet people bitching about it like you are right now.

I've seen your reaction a thousand times, it's nothing new. People that either have no problem with it or like it a lot cannot accept the possibility that some people MIGHT not like it. There are a lot of NTR and Sharing games that have the possibility to avoid that content for M+F, for some reason the same thing can't be said with F+F.

I don't really understand how people are so die-hard regarding this topic. I am not asking for devs to remove this content from their games, I'm asking them to have the possibility to avoid it like so many other fetishes.

I don't know about My New Memories, but from the same dev there was My New Family and it eventually ended up Lesbian content, so My New Memories will also have it. Lesbian content in Harem games isnt and "IF" its an inevitable "When".

The guy calling the opinion that people can make what they want:

so fucking insane.
and a:

fucked up attitude to have.
Is now saying "entitled" is harsh for no reason?

My reaction has been nothing but reasonable and measured. It's fine that you do not like it, don't expect anyone to cater to it though. I literally dealt with that last thing you said already. If the dev wants to tell a story with sharing, why should he compromise his vision. If some want to let them, if some do not don't go whining about it. I do not expect any fetishes to be made avoidable. If there are unavoidable ones I can't look past, I just don't play the game. It really is that easy.

That "it's so fucking insane" and "fucked up attitude to have" you highlighted isn't directed to game devs for doing this content, the devs SHOULD make ANYTHING they want (that isn't illegal, of course).

That "it's fucked up" is regarding the general atittude of people like you in the comment sections always never being capable of even entertaining the idea of a skip button.

So by highlighting that I really don't understand what you were trying to get at? "The guy calling the opinion that people can make what they want:", how is my opinion that people can make what they want be opposed by what I said in those highlights?

And, once again, regarding the "dont play the game" thing: you get baited in to this trilogy by the characters, and then the second game doesn't have the correct tags. I am not a mind-reader, I usually ask for things in advance (like I did to you), but sometimes I play an entire game only for the last update to have the content i don't like (like Once in a Lifetime or MIST).

But I'm done with this conversation, I guess. I usually only respond to these things in the small hope that maybe the dev for the game, the dev for another different game, or even a future dev that hasn't published their game yet might read it. Maybe one day there will be a dev that thinks lesbian sex "counts as real sex".

I was well aware that your comments were directed at my statements, which boiled down to people can make what they want, which includes games with unskippable kinks. As for entertaining a skip button, I quite clearly said I do not mind them, but that one shouldn't expect them. All that being said, I regret the change of tone our conversation had. I took offence to those statements, you took offence to entitled, and what started as civil discourse and a genuine desire to inform turned a bit standoffish. Its fine for us to disagree on this. I genuinely wish you luck in finding games that work for you man, and really hope you have a good day from here on out.

Yeah man, I think we got triggered by things that really didn't deserve that reaction. It's just that... I'm so fucking tired of having this conversation xD It's literally every game, every thread, so my anger wasn't directed at you (since you really didn't say anything bad), but more so at the "general consensus" on the opinion.

I know I shouldn't expect shit, it's just that... At least ONE game wouldn't be asking for much, ya know? By the laws of probability, it should already exist. But it doesnt...

Have a nice day man.

I can only speak for myself, but as a guy for me it's not that I think 'lesbian sex isn't real sex', it's just more that I'd find that less threatening than sharing with another male. When you're the M in MFF, you feel like you have something unique to offer, so you'll always be welcome, whereas MMF feels like you have to compete (especially if you are further on the straight end of the spectrum, and if it's not a fetish you're into). I'm sure that comes off as pretty insecure, but I'm pretty sure it's probably how a lot of ppl see it, hence why so many stories and games work out that way.
