Short guide
step for all is wipe team, then increase unit max. wipe team again, upgrade important stats, wipe team, increase max units. then you can start to play. the general theme is to lock the heroine into an action while your damage and capture is kept safe
Knight (second hardest): increase your tank's health until they can take 5 hits without dying. speed is also important. Increase your spears damage and attack speed. increase your capture movement speed last.
----place units coming from 2 points and spears opposite them to get early xp. once your tanks can take 5 hits, tank from one side while your spears and your capture attack from the opposite. youll need to space your tanks so a constant stream takes her attention.
mage (3rd hardest): your melee monsters are busted. increase their health and speed and push her into a corner. alternate them at a degree so they wont all be hit from the same orb and just like before space out your placement to keep her attention for as long as possible. from the bottom put your ranged attackers and rack up xp. your capture will come from below also.
Fast rogue (Hardest [Incredibly frustrating at times]): this one is tough. you need to increase the AOE of your attackers to around 35-40 and all of the stats of your stunner until by the time your stun is over, the next one is in range and stuns her again... its rough. increase the speed of your capturer.
--- place a stunner in a corner and another in the opposite followed immediately by multiple attackers and 3 capturers. the moment she is stunned, place another stunner and keep her there with a constant stream. You need to do some guesswork to predict the closest place outside of her range after her dash. good luck.
cleric (easy [boring]): dont bother with the top unit. It's useless. upgrade the seconds of life of the capturer. then upgrade the life of the puddle, its damage, and anti heal. its slow can help with early xp too.
--- corral her into a corner filled with puddles using the capture units... that's pretty much it. her ai is wonky though, sometimes she just wanders off.
Demon King (easiest): the first unit is broken. only focus on it until the very end. upgrade its speed and health and send them in from each of the corners until they can hit her, then increase their damage. once they live long enough that you can send them from only one corner and her health is still below half, send in your capture from the opposite corner. increase their health and speed so they make it to her and survive the off aoe explosion.

I will say, despite the overall lack of scenes, each individual scene is of pretty good quality. I would probably lay down money for this guy to build a game far larger than this, with loads more scenes. Maybe some kinda dating game, because damn, I do not have the patience to do this kind of thing again.

preach brother, I remember two years ago there was a consistent stream of decent games coming out, translated or not, enough to satisfy my fix of adult games every month. this year? Night of revenge was good and that was it to me for the whole 2022, nothing else was memorable. I also appreciate any fellow VN hater, I just don't understand those things like you press next for 15 minutes, what the fuck is the point. I swear this 'industry' has been going downhill exponentially fast for the last couple of years, sad. There are so many rug pulls I legit feel like it's the crypto space lmao

While I somewhat share your sentiment. We also have to stand by those that did good. Village Rhapsody was quite alright. I had a lot of fun with Yokai Art: Night Parade of One Hundred Demons. Mystwood Manor and Mist also saw their full release this year. How to Build a Magnificent Kingdom was no slouch. Universe Treasure was a fine attempt at a "bullet heaven" (vampire survivors genre) game, although it could have used a bit more scenes. I enjoyed, although I understand that Love n War series isn't everyone's cup of tea. There's also some idiocy going on with the skin colors. The MC is white in the main game, but dark brown in the scenes. One of the first training foes even idiotically and unironically call him a pale face in the new one. When he is much darker than her in their love scene.

the market makes that choice. instead of paying for those "well-made" excellent games, most people just download the free version, people spend money on those Patreon vampires games so they can spend 8 years to make a VN game. the reality can finally beat anyone with passions.
Terrible game, it doesn't even let you cheat so you can get pass all this drudgery easily. And what do you get for wasting all that time? Mediocre at best H-scenes. I expected the Artoria clone to get a good H-scene since she has orcs but nope. How do you fail to make a decent H scene with orcs?
