It was a bug for those going vigilante and having less than 8 love. It's been fixed for the next update.

You are playing a really old version, the latest version of Genex Love, ends during day 69, and then you can start 2 Love Genex wich continues Genex Love's story.
Not only in this case, i had the gallery bug with lynx on hero path and full love points too

How do you go about the Kate path? Should I talk to her or avoid her during the gwen scene? Does it make any difference?

And on that note
You're taking something serious away from a hero if you take their powers, but these monsters are killing them. The corpses can't mind it. Can you steal powers from a dead hero?
It seems like the optimal solution for the world at large. The number of heroes won't decrease because that one's already dead, you're just stopping that power from going to waste. You also don't have to worry about seducing them or getting any contrived situation, nor any rape, they can't be upset about it if they're dead. Find out where they buried the dead heros and test this out. It's for the greater good.
This guy's a pussy and he isn't willing to take the hard decisions that might save this world.
