The poor writing is amusing at times. "We huged." We huged, enormoused even, perhaps one could say we embiggen. "I was especial." "She was especial." Not just special, but e-special. She's my e-girl. To clarify, since that one came up a dozen times so far, it's very strange to use especial that way, it should be special. If you were to use it, it'd be as an adverb, like "especially important" or "She was especially thorough about this one"
But you don't say "She is especial." It would be "She is special." At least in American and British English.
The writing is servicable for the start, but around the school trip to the mountains the narrative writing was very bad, with poor characterization and logic. It kind of just descends into pure harem fantasy without strong supporting writing, it was very weak. It wasn't as bad a few days after the trip, but in general the character-writing isn't as good as it was early on.
I'm up to day 55, just completed the trial for the death of Tennicles and, subsequently, the death of half of those girls at the hands of Captain Marvel. Not a fan of all the elements in common with The Boys, but whatever, it's different enough. The thing I'm tripping over is: didn't the higenus during the school trip specifically name Tennicles as causing a lot of problems for them? I may just mix up names and details, Tennicles was very briefly there and he did distinctly have one arm, so the trial isn't completely unfounded, but I could have sworn the two higenus girls bathing were against the Tennicles guy. Oh well, I must be misremembering, I guess.
No worries, I'm not asking for it, I'm just light-heartedly prodding at game-logic. I don't thinka nyone wants powers locked behind necrophilia and man-on-man sex. But if you really thought about things as if the story was real, a person in MC's position absolutely should try it. It's super powers! Be pragmatic!
