Based on the colors, it looks like there's some kind of UV preview applied.
Im pretty new to daz3d so Im still figuring stuff out as I go, I may pressed something when I first worked with the hair, and then it permently became like this, despite me deleting and reinstalling it couple of times.

Nirvy creates her own models. I think that she has released a couple of chars in the V4 period, but recently she published mostly outfits. She always uses the same model, probably to give a unique look to her promos as many artists do, but AFAIK, this model is not available.
If you are interested by the body shapes, you can have a look at the breast/gen shapes that she issued.

Otherwise, your best bet is to drop her a message at her account at renderosity.
Thanks for replay, oh well, maybe in the future she will release the model. :)

Hello! I wanted to tip my fingers into adult game making, and while i'm experienced 3D artist in gamedev (sadly, environment mostly), it's obviously not enough.

The most scary part for me is 3D animation: i played around with various rigged models, and even tried setup weights (skinning?) for some game mods in 3ds max and Blender, but it was a long time ago. Not counting some mecha or techincal rigs and animations i was working on for fun.

I'm not going to ask to describe in details what and how works, instead - it's more about giving a direction, links to some helpful posts where it surely was explained already, and maybe and intro in animation slang, so i have an easier time searching for answers.

I'm not interested in DAZ stuff though, and would like to work with my own characters (going for more stylized look) and here are my questions:

1. Proper rigging setup for fresh model, how to setup genitals and so on. The most important part for me is error-free export to game engines like Unity\Unreal and maybe even ability to take advantage of built-in animation tools there. Like, are there a common setup, what exactly the difference with NSWF models, and so on.

2. Also, it would be nice if i could use some premade animations on this skeleton (its called skeleton, right?), for example from Unity Store or Marketplace. I can imagine there are going to be some problems since our skeleton will have genitals and stuff, is this correct?

3. Tools to make animations easier to make? I saw some tools that allow you to create facial animations (was it Character Creator? not sure if its useful for custom models). Just to know if there is anything that will make my job easier.

4. Just... how to start with sex animation? model requirements, rigging, animation, export, engine setup? I want to follow along Anime Nyan tutorial for now, is it a good start?

Sorry if my questions are too broad, or straight up stupid, hopefully after getting an understanding of how to built my pipeline, they will be more reasonable.

Thanks for attention, cheers!

1. Blender or, if you've got money to blow, Maya are going to be your best bet(s). The latter is an industry standard is often used for sculpting (afaik) AAA characters. I"m not too up on Unreal, so someone else can chime in on that.

2. This is why a lot of devs use Daz, even if it isn't their main rendering engine. Daz Male Figure + Dicktator > Diffeomorphic to Blender > Animate/etc. Once it's rigged in Blender, I imagine it'll be a fair bit easier to move between other software. Blender does do well with stylized figures, but I'm not sure how genitals work in the software itself. Premade animations are a longshot, I'd imagine, and any that do exist are probably very much overused (e.g. stimuli with Daz.)

3. I've seen a few devs working with Metahuman and CC, but the ease of use vs Daz turns a lot of people away from it. Unreal is probably the future for this space, but it takes a pretty significant amount of knowledge even with Blueprints.

4. Anime Nyan is probably the best you're going to find. I'd suggest going through a few beginner Blender courses, picking up the fundamentals and such first, and then attempting to follow it.

I think the biggest issue here is that you're looking for ease of use of something that's inherently difficult. You're going to likely need to learn a few different engines/software suites to accomplish what you want here. Blender/Maya, Marvelous Designer, 3DCoat/of the like, mostly Substance Painter and/or Designer, Photoshop, plus some money to blow on assets/plugins and licenses/software licenses. Probably more, too. That's why people want Blender to be a free do-all software despite that being the very reason it's taken so long for it to become usable.

I was playing BaDIK and wondering: are those animations made with Daz3D? Or how daz3d artists animate their adult scenes?
Yeah, they're made with Daz. I'd actually say they're on the lower end of what Daz is capable of doing. Daz artists usually animate with keyframes (unless you're using stimuli) and focus on looping animations. There's some good plugins that help make life a bit easier, like Limbstick and eR Breast Animation (the better among similar assets as it works with loops.)

Understanding inertia (for hair and breast movements, collision directions, etc.), gravity, and the speed at which reality moves (the best example of this is to find a short porn clip and break it down into frames, and pay attention to the amount of movement in each frame. Can be a very strong reference for learning.). You won't get Blender-level animations due the lack of soft-body physics, but you can get some pretty good results out of it.

Damn, is this of your doin? that's a pretty solid animation.

I'm relatively new to Daz3d. I tried a few animations but they look bad ( arms and legs "sliding" on the surfaces when they should stay still. ) I'll check Limbstick and those assets you've mentioned. Any more I should take a look at?

Or even better, do you know any tutorials on how to get started animating with Daz3d? I found some short videos on youtube but they were too basic.

Limbstick should help with the sliding. It's basically the equivalent of Inverse Kinetics in Blender (and other industry-standard software).

might be something you could look at, but it's probably not necessary until you're further along. As far SFW tutorials go, they're a bit lacking. , which you might've seen. This might be worth a look, as well. , but I'd wait for a sale.

Give me a minute and I'll DM you with something. :)

It has left me scratching my head.
It's not like the cutout capacity is reduced , that should have affected the whole dress. So, how can it be done?

If the dress is one surface, then lowering the opacity is going to lower the opacity of the entire dress.

If the clothing has multiple/separate layers, there should be a dropdown in the surfaces pane with all of the said layers for the asset:

Edit: Ignore the arms being highlighted. Not relevant here.

Yes but look at the picture, the transparency has no regular geometry. It's like someone used a magic brush.

Hello.

I was looking into starting creating models and animations for a (RenPy, if it matters) project. As I understand, there are a number of choices to buy/hire/start doing on your own by using modelling software, but I tried to search this thread and didn't see anything about using AI.

Is that actually a thing? As I understand, there are several projects, which allow you to make images/renders based on your text prompts + input images, such as Unstable Diffusion, for example.

However, it is my understanding that this was only for production of actual images, not for any kind of 3D models, therefore it might be very hard or tedious to produce consistent content (eg. even if you coaxed AI into making a render of the kind you want, it would be hard to make the character persistent for loads of images, not to speak of animations).

Any idea, what's the current status?

I've got a question that's pretty simple but still takes someone who knows about 3d modeling to answer.

I woke up this morning with a great idea for a slow transformation comic. I've made a couple of basic comics in koikatsu, and I'm pretty sure I could make the comic in koikatsu if push came to shove. However I wanted to expand and grow and try a different program.

What's the best program for mostly realistic looking 3d images? Particularly for a newbie. Additionally if I wanted my slow transformation comic to feature race change is there a program or set of assets that would work best for that?

Hi, hoping to get some help with this scene i'm doing. I'm trying to use WetFX for G9, and tried mixing it with Golden Palace G9 and even tried it with New Genital for Genesis 9, but the result always turns out like this.

Even if there were (I'm sure there's some work on it, but not in a highly usable state) a software/plugin for that, it most likely wouldn't perform at the consistency you'd be looking for. Good AI-made videos/animations are at least a few years away. Daz/Tafi do having something in the work for figures/characters, though, don't know if the public will ever see it.

Blender is going to take at least a few months to pick the UI up, probably a bit longer realistically. Though, it can vary wildly with what you're looking to do with the software itself beyond animation. For ease of use, speed of learning, and picking up right away, all with fairly high quality out of the box? Daz is far and away the best for it. The morphs will likely make it easier to create growth of breasts/etc., as well.

Edit: Missed the Race part. If the figures are of the same generation (G8 Woman to G8 Elf, for example, then you can use sliders to mixed them and progressively make one side more or less dominant than the other, if needed. G8 and 8.1 are often compatible with each other as far as shapes go, but G3 to G8 or G8 to G9 are not.)

Select your WetFX shell > Parameters pane > Scroll until you find your Vagina/Anus (don't know the names for the NGV9 yet.) > Turn them off.

They won't likely be wet anymore (though, last I checked New Gens had it's own moist effect), but the while will be gone. Or should be.

Thanks a bunch! That's exactly the answer I needed. Now to figure out Daz3d, last time I tried it, I installed it and said nuts to that! Maybe if I actually watch a tutorial this time.

Any suggestions on guides?

For the basic/beginner stuff, I'd start with , , or . Or some mix of all. Jay (WP Guru) also has a 'masterclass' that covers most of the beginner stuff. . If you're looking a bit further toward lighting, then Dreamlight would probably be the way to go. Makes it fairly easy to understand.

Forgot to mention your GPU might have something to say in regards to whether you'll be able to use Daz or not. Any semi-recent Nvidia card should be able to handle Daz well. You'll be out of luck with AMD, though. So, you'd either be stuck rendering in 3DL/Filament or in Iray with the CPU (which can take a while.).

Thanks! I'll try those. I got one last question. Is there anything special I have to do if I want to use Daz with any of the assets available on f95? I'm a hobbyist at best, it doesn't make sense to break the bank for a vanity project. I vaguely remember they had a download manager for stuff, so I don't want to screw myself over.

I got a 1080, hopefully that'll cut it?

Most assets here should cut it, yeah. There's other websites like Render-State, 3D-load.net (my preference for when I want to try things before buying them), and ZoneGFX which is a pseudo-paid/points-based piracy community based around 3D assets.

You don't have to use the Install Manager: Tutorial - How to Install Content to Daz w/ w/o Install Manager, but it does allow Smart Content for Daz Store stuff, which can make things easier to find.

1080 has 8GB or VRAM, if I recall? It won't be blazing fast, but as long as you aren't rendering in 4K with multiple G9 figures, you should be all right. will be helpful for larger scenes. Dividing the quality by 2 will help clear up some VRAM, just avoid using it on the figures/people and anything you plan on zooming in on as what Scene Optimizer does is basically cut down the quality of the texture maps. For example, most normal maps are 4K and using scene optimizer to cut the quality down would bring it to 2K. You can go lower on some assets (especially those without patterns and such), but dividing by two is often the best compromise between quality and speed.
