No, that's normal reading speed...literally just played it from my ending save.lift your finger off the ctrl key and uncheck "skip unseen text" in options?
I am one of the Dev's Patreons. I have seen people talk about this in the past and somebody posted some numbers on this before but I can't remember who. I felt things were short to but I did my own look into it and got into the code. I have been trying to track ever since and here is what I see...I'd say 3 minutes qualifies (maybe a minute more) as one of the shortest ones...

Yeah, it's a hidden gem and trying to push the dev to get on Bootsy, SubscribeStar and Itch.io.I am one of the Dev's Patreons. I am a fan and want bigger updates but the Dev has done some real work to get 116k words and over 3000 images. Everybody who doesn't make these games should give at least some props to the Dev for trying. Doing all this and working 2 jobs he's got my respect.

If you read almost 3k words in 3 minutes you read soooooooo much faster than the average person...Yeah, it's a hidden gem and trying to push the dev to get on Bootsy, SubscribeStar and Itch.io.
But this is the shortest update (understandable why) since Day 18 and Day 24....
Most of the sentences are 3 words, 4 words, 5 words, sometimes less, and a few where they are longer. If you read almost 3k words in 3 minutes you read soooooooo much faster than the average person...
I do about 5-600 per min on a screen, and would be between 5 to 6 min to read that many words if super focused, not having to 'turn pages', or looking at pics.
Most people average around 200 wpm on paper and are slower on a screen.
Too bad that the dev only "works" on this game on sundays (and not even all the sundays). It's a shame that the developer is going through all this, I started the game a little while ago, but it's a very good game, well edited and with a good story that makes you want to play more and more.
There are also some devs that earn their living only from AVNs, and you see that by the amount of content they pull out in a short span of time.avn's tend to be passion projects
imo its best compaired to painters or other artists like that
whit that i mean that most off them do not have enough income from their projects to sustain themselfs and/or their family
only the best tend to have that privilege
sadly so but its just how the world is i guess
avn's fall in art&crafts branch off work so they will always be more off luxury thing for comsumers and a harsh and unforgiving for the creators due to public opinions and uncertainty regarding financials
true but these dev's are the successful ones who's content appeals to a broad audience and created the trust/support to go full timeThere are also some devs that earn their living only from AVNs, and you see that by the amount of content they pull out in a short span of time.
Hi All
Recently I have had a few people email me, well, more than a few, about the shortness of the updates. This has been something people have commented on since I started. The reason I have short updates is I always wanted to show my Patreon supporters I was serious about working on the project. I was not just trying to take their money and not work. I released a new update about every 4-5 weeks. This changed to 7-9 weeks when I had to get a second job.
When I release an update, I have to take a day to; convert the PNG files that are rendered in Daz3D to WEBP, change the code in Ren’py from PNG to WEBP, retest everything before compiling the code, compile the code, test everything from different saves I have, and finally test the whole thing from a new start. Depending on how many images there are to convert this can take more than a day.
Because I imposed the 7–9 weeks deadline the updates are small. Since I no longer need to show my Patreons that I am serious about the project I am going to change the deadline. This will free up the time spent testing.
I am going to set January and July as my release times for updates until the VN is finished. This will make the updates longer just by stacking up three normal updates for one release. Hopefully freeing up the days spent testing I can fix some issues I have with the project. This was my first attempt at a visual novel, and I have learned a lot. When you look at the first meeting with Sara in the kitchen on Day 1 the image looks almost cartoonish. I had no idea how to really light the room. I think people will also like reading some of the planned events at one time instead of over three releases and six months.
I appreciate you not releasing the last update to the public. I want to show my gratitude to you first before I release it to the public.
I have thought about opening an online store to sell some Agent 53X merchandise, not to generate money but to give people some cool or fun stuff but wasn’t sure if there would be interest. If you are wanting Agent 53X items let me know.
Thank you for all the support!
Look my post above. So guys, no more update? Patreon account is no more. Any news at all?
This is awesome news. I really enjoy this story.Mail received few days ago:
Hopefully, whoever is on his mailing list is willing to share with us the continuation of this project, that would be awesome, as I myself love this gameI believe it's better to put the ONHOLD tag, because we don't know IF and WHEN the dev will update here.
