He can probably make more money on Steam than on Patreon, so that would tend to tamp down his qualms about personal information.
Then too, he might trust Steam more than Patreon with his information... perhaps with reason.
Steam is a lot more picky about some things. What really sucks is if it's only there, it won't be here.

There is a racing game called Wide Open on Steam. But no Throttle in the title. So, where does the T come from?

I remember the Dev saying they were quitting because the VN kept getting shared publicly. And they only wanted people who paid, to play. Like if it's on the internet it's going to get shared publicly for free eventually. Just make your game good enough that you still make money.
I'll say the story was pretty good, but the MC's character didn't fit the insane amount of training he supposedly had. Which caused alot of people to question it future.
Plus the story was taking a really long time wiggling about trying to find a solid direction to go with. It was kind slice of life, mystery, spy, harem?, espionage.
And it seemed like he only decided to go spy novel after the first in game week or so, as the MC's interactions early on didn't make any sense, only to throw in a weak excuse that he was actually using Master Manipulation on them to essentially groom them. Like, No, you being a bow down bitch, that was cringe on the epic level.
For these reasons many people were willing to follow the story and see where it goes, but a majority wasn't willing to pay for it.

I know for a fact the original Dev is not working on Agent 53x and did not upload to Steam. I am friends with ravensoftbuns and she lived with the Dev for a couple years. She has his info and called him.
