Proof of Life 8/22/22
Hey guys, Sorry I went dark for about a week. After a trying time with a health issue my daughter went through, we made last minute plans to take a small family vacation before our kids summer vacation was over. I know this isn't fair to any of you, my supporters, but it's something I felt I owed my family.
Images and Videos are all rendered, and have been for a bit. I'm still working on the writing of the script and coding. It's taking longer than anticipated. More because of external factors such as work, family, and life in general. I know at some point the excuses build up to look like I'm just stringing supporters along and wasting time, and since you don't know me or my character it's hard to take my word that I'm really doing the best I can, and unfortunately that's all I can give you is my word that I'm doing my best. I'll admit that there have been some days where I had some free time to work on the game, but I just didn't have it in me. but those days have been few and far between. If I ever get to the point where I have any prolonged burnout, I'll put my SubscribeStar on hold and stop taking money while I sort myself out.
The update is coming very soon. There's less than a weeks worth of work to get it out, and by that I don't mean full time work, since this is not my full time job, I mean after hours work. I just need to get some free evenings to get it done. Now that my kids are going back to school, they'll be going to bed early again, making my nights and evenings that much less chaotic.
Although I majorly missed the goal on this update, I'll keep making those goals and try and figure out when I need to start transitioning from image creation to writing, to fine tuning etc... I'm going to figure out how to be a better dev. You guys are amazingly generous, patient, and supportive, and I want to deserve that support and trust. I can't thank you all enough for all the support!
Is it possible to change the color of the text,cause when the text is over something white it's hard to read it(being the text is white).

Update's Looking Good! (Proof of Life 9/6/22)
So, The 0.08a-v2 (alpha) update will be released this week to our testers (BFF+ tiers). I could almost release it today, but I don't want to rush it and release a turd. I'm going to spend a little extra time polishing it, and making sure it's all firing right. I'm not positive which day I'm going to release, but I commit to it being before the week is over. My initial testing looks promising and I'm pleased with how the new scenes have turned out.
Sorry it took longer than expected, this new schedule is an experiment that I'm trying, and hopefully with a little more experience, I'll be able to keep making the releases more and more predictable on the two month schedule.
Thanks for all the support, patience, etc... Getting this close to release is always exciting for me! (pun intended) I can't wait to get it into you hands... or on you screens!

Yes! At least for the "BFF + supporter tiers" They will be getting the test version today (alpha version). I've been testing this week, so I'm pretty confident any errors will be minor, meaning they'll probably have it for a week before I release the official supporter version (beta version). I always release the public version one month after the supporter one, so I assume most here won't play until then... because no one here ever leaks the supporter version.
Just an FYI. The links for our alpha test build are now live for our "BFF+ tier" supporters! Please, please, please don't leak the links here! This is just the test build, and when an alpha test build leaks, I get hundreds of people hitting this thread and complaining about bugs, saying the game sucks, etc... Just give us a week to have our testers find the bugs. Once the beta is released, I won't mind if someone here leaks those links. Thanks, all!
