in video games company you would be fired for working 3-4 month without results
How long do you think it takes to make a video game? That they just think it and it poofs? It can take years for a new game or any software to hit the release stage. So you think the programmers and staff are not paid during that time?

Thanks everyone here who's got my back! I really appreciate the understanding, and at the same time I understand the frustration of thinking an update is around the corner, and then the dev doesn't deliver. Let's just say I'm now a lot more sympathetic to other devs than I used to be. I do apologize for not being able to fulfill earlier estimates of when I thought I could have this done, I've never intentionally tried to be misleading, but the only thing I have to judge from, is past experience, and this period of time has been so different from anything in the past.

As far as progress goes.... I just finished playing the game from start to 0.06 finish, and all the game events seem to be getting along and functioning the way they should. None if it's been tested with the patches, and spelling and grammar checking is still in progress. But it's close, and I'm so excited to get it out to you all. It represents a ton of work, a ton of time, and it is much larger than any update I've put out there before. I'm sorry to have to say it one more time, but please be patient with me... I'm doing my best.

I spent 3 years between 2002 & 2005 working on preliminary coding for a small game design company & it took a team of 3 of us almost 12 months to hash out one small game component that accounted for 15% of the games backroom function!! Even with the much improved & "ready-to-use" game software available nowadays, these indie devs can easily take that time - or more - especially when most of them are only working on the game part time!!
(geez - if i was coding part time back then, I'd probably STILL be working on it!! LMAO!!!!!!)

If you have experience working in a game production or design company that has those sort of time lines then all i can say is that would be a terrible place to work!! Especially when you consider that most large game corporations take 4 to 6 years on average to develop a game, 3-4 months is nothing.

Good to see so much support for the dev in this thread. In most threads on F95zone, its pretty interseting to see, since the people who are actually on most patreons, from my view, complain 1% as much as many players here that usually want harsh deadlines, while most patrons i have seen just want a good game to be made... Its just such a sharp contrast, and i think most devs do good to focus on what their patrons say more than the harsh demands on here.
I don't know why we complain so much on this site. We're getting their games for free while the patrons are spending money each month to fund the games. If there's a 4 month wait for a quality update, that's a-ok. There's thousands of other games on the site if you really need something fresh

I agree saffe.
Yes I want the game to update but I don't want it to release until it is ready. I can't even count the number of games I have played (here or AAA titles) that fell flat on their faces because of a simple flaw that could have been fixed with a little more play testing.
Plus, c'mon folks, there are SO MANY other games here that you could likely play for months and never run out of games. Sure the vast majority of them may not fall into your specific game genre/kink/platform, but even with those content lenses in place you won't be bored.
Will will give us the best game experience he can when the update is ready. Hold strong.

I'm a patron (on both Subscriberstar and Patreon (I just never turned Patreon off after moving to Subscriberstar), but I only contribute $1/month on each. And I'm going to complain? For $2/month a great a great game that updates every so often. The Dev is great. He's active here, where he doesn't need to be, and I'm sure he's doing his best.

I just love the game and when we get the update, I'll be ecstatic.

Wow! Thank you everyone for the patience and understanding! This has got to be one of the most positive fan bases on F95. I really appreciate all the words of support, all the good ideas etc... I really hope my update doesn't disappoint. I don't think it will though, I'm actually feeling pretty proud of it. I'm as anxious as all of you to get it out. I'm waiting on spellchecking to be finished, but like I said it's over 15,000 lines of script, so my poor spellchecker is getting fatigued. If any of you know lapdragon, send him positive words of encouragement. He's doing it completely on a volunteer basis. While I've been waiting, I've just continued to work. Last night I changed how the whole strip club functions using the casino games that D.S.-Sama built for me, and I'm still rendering an Agent Diaz scene that I'm hoping to squeeze into the official release, so it's only getting better and better. I'm super lucky to have such great help! Thanks D.S.-sama and lapdragon. You guys make it look like I kind of know what I'm doing, and I'm super lucky to have such a supportive fan-base!

I think that when u like something (speaking when you are a fan and not the creator) the only things that annoy is that the creator ignores the fanbase (when looking to improve the product with ideas), that the dev doesnt communicate assiduously, and that the updates never arrive or when they arrive, that they do so with the worst possible quality (very short updates, a thousand bugs, bad animations, etc.) and I think that is not ur case, therefore I understand perfectly that when something happens to u where u cannot meet the established schedule, ur fans support u and dont punish u for something that we all know is not on purpose. What I comment can be perfectly seen in ur case and in that of the Icstor scammer, for example. All that said, I look forward to the next update!
