So - just to be sure if i got that right......
21 Months playing this "adult VN game", just to figure out that there will be not many sex scenes just because of "a great horror story" (which actually isn't "great" at all, - more likely it's a completely boring BS in my humble opinion).
The ONLY reason i sticked to this crap for that long, is my cousiosity how MC finally will get the girls. The answer is sinmple: He will not get them at all.
Now starting a second game for an alternative timeline containing all the sex scenes which should happen in the main game in first place?
So basically blueballing players for 2 years just to tell them "Fuck off and play my other new game"?
REALLY???? This dev is gonna piss me off more and more. At least there's something positive about that:

Check the OP's Dev Notes. From day 1 of the game.
The MC does end up with one of the characters in the game, which one depends on a choice players have already made.
I've been racking my brains for the last 12 updates trying to figure out how to how to insert a few extra fap scenes without butchering the story. I've reached out to everyone that helps me out with the game. I've even posted it here a few times.
No one can offer any good way to pull it off. Or even any bad ways. Nada. Zip. Nothing.
But then again, I didn't ask YOU now did I?
All right. So I'm asking now. How should it have been?
If you've got a brilliant 20/20 hindsight idea how the story line should have gone now is the time to cough it up.
And if you answer something stupid like "uh, me I dunno dat's not my job" I'm going to crawl up your internet connection and Joob-Joob your ass.

The genre of horror lends itself to erotica quite easily shouldn't be difficult to write scenes in without "butchering the story". Do people who say "ThIs Is a SeRiOuS StoRy" not watch HBO? You can have a serious story with nudity if you want to. It's only a choice if one or the other if the author wants it that way.

He is just asking for some proper suggestions about how to actually do this thing that "shouldn't be difficult to write" as you say. Because, well, it seems it is, at least for him, but so far no one is willing to share their awesome ideas with this dev. So maybe we'll be luckier with you: at what point in the current story do you think a lewd scene could've fit nicely without distorting the narrative?

How on earth would you slide fap scenes into a movie like The Da Vinci code without making look cheap or wedged sideways into the story line?

Reading comprehension is good, you should try it some time, instead of ignoring the entire content of the post you're apparently complaining about. As others have said, if it's "so easy" to add sex and porn type stuff into this game then by all means, show us your genious and write out a synopsis of where and how you'd add it in. Dev asked nicely for any and all ideas, and since you apparently missed that part to white knight some other poster (I bet you're a Mr. Dots fan eh, since the person you're defending to hard is on that team) show us all how it's done and easily plot out a nice sexy scene...
Come on now, we're waiting for you originality, your flair, your fantastic literation! Hopefully we won't have to wait long, but we might since your user name is off a general market AAA game and nothing original.. lol.
I still like the way you make a story with the supernatural elements. I just want some more of the supernatural elements used for the eventual sex, even if it takes a while longer. You're a good storyteller. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Writing is also hard. So, I commend you for sticking with this work for so long. You'll figure it out.

Truth is, that people over here want lewd content - and you know that.
The heck, you even used that fact to "fish" players - or why else did you name the game "A father's SINS"?
You could have named it "Horror in vatican" or something like that.
You call your blunt story "GREAT horror"? Dude, it's neither "great", nor "horror". Your renders (and i am talking about assets and composing - NOT the quality) don't make me feel horror at all. Showing dead corpses and some blood doesn't make a game "horror". The way you text your game doesn't give the feeling of "horror" at all too.
As you mentionned your OP:
This does not tell me that a Blowjob and a Tiitfuck is all you get after all that wasted time.
You simply should have written "This game will have nearly none lewd content" - that would have been ok and honest. But you exactly KNEW that "a fathers SINS" as topic will fool more players to stick around. "Sex sells"?

I will be happier to play any other game, because this one is not worth a penny. You think sex doesn't match a great story? Well - i have to bring it up to you once more: you DON'T have any great story to begin with (or at least you suck in telling the story in a horror way and use renders that inflict any feelings of horror.).
You had the best opportunity with your general setup to deliver one of the best games, but removing the main reason to play (assuming that the huge majority over here doesn't care that much about story in first place, but wanting lewds) is a bad mistake.
If you need to create a "parallel universe" to satisfy your playerbase - to deliver what you think they need - you should overthink your story at all.
You basically tell people "I know you want to have strawberry cake, but i feel to bake rhabarber cakes, so please take this pure rhabarber cace for now, later i make a rhabarber cake with some strawbarries inside for you".
That's not how it works.
You want my advice? Well - i know you will not like it - but imho you should stop this game, take your basic setup, and do a game of corruption - a game where "A father's SINS" actually has a meaning.
If you still think this one over here is even close to horror, you are simply wrong.

I doubt there will be more than a handful people who actually tell you "i don't mind the lack of lewds, because you did a great story and the way you tell that story is cuffing, so i really felt that horror". (at least i am not)

Technically you could throw them in anywhere like a bad 1960's surf film with a song every 10 minutes.... or you could write a good story and "stick it in" where appropriate.
Having stated that the very thought of writing anything that long with a coherent narrative and interplay of characters including dialogue is a hard pass from me personally.

Yea... this looks interesting, but I've been holding off playing this game because of the lack of sex scenes. I'm a sucker for good stories with romance and lewds. I get that writing adult content can be difficult, but it has worked well in other horror games like Abaddon, Tsukihime, Kara no Shoujo etc.

So, I guessing this "Going to Hell" is like the What If games from Power Vacuum, kinda an alternate timeline. Might be interesting to check out.
| It could have been done a lot of ways and still made sense... First instance when mc was in the coffee shop as your preview of the spinoff showed... alternate time lines or timelines where the mc was in two places at once... one for the story one for the fun lewd, that could have easily been implemented... instances where mc is talking with the sisters either individually or 2 at a time could have lead to some interesting interactions... agree with the other guy though there really isn't much of a horror aspect here, maybe an action/slasher type feel but even the slasher part is a bit of a stretch... that being said the story is pretty good overall, but making the spinoff a patron only deal is kinda pay wallish... and that's ok a lot of dev's go that route, but there are many players who will turn away because of it. it's like you decided to make a an avn but then went oh btw it's pay per view. I'm not mad at you and not trying to criticize just giving you my observation. It's your business so you should run it as you see fit, but you have to understand for those who stuck around there was a promise that there would be actual lewd in the story even if it wasn't the main focus. a place to add some could also be during training or whatever. There could have been a lull in the events of the story to fit the lewd in. again it's your story and your business not mine just saying there are ways things could have been done. There could have been things during the interactions with the grey lady she could have been a catalyst or something idk but saying there was no good way to add it in seems like you just weren't that willing to try. Either way this is just my thoughts so take them constructively or get mad it doesn't change anything. I don't wish you any ill will and I hope your game does well. EDIT: Btw I came up with all these ideas on the fly as I was writing this I didn't brainstorm at all... not trying to criticize you or whoever you asked for input but I would be shocked if none of these ideas were presented while brainstorming... js. |
