Interesting that the story says a beautiful redhead, Selene is far from beautiful - and the skin textures really poor, if someone I knew had a skin like that I would send them to a doctor
I also agree that the MC could have easily stopped the bald creeps from trying to use his family by telling Selene to not mention them or else

The bald creeps new that his family is onboard from the get go, they don't need Selene to know that.
You argument is not sound I'm afraid.

No i like the story, and neither do i have a problem that the MC doesn't have a magical dick.
I just don't like Selene as a LI.

In Spain we say: Para gustos, los colores (we mention the colours, just like in French)

That being said, even though everyone is entitled to say that Selene is ugly (I think they should get their eyes checked, but that's just my taste), what sounds really stupid is saying it looks like she has a skin disease. She does not, in any way or form, look like that.

This always happens in most porn avn, MCs just put up with whatever bs the girls do just because ... I don't know, boobs?
I doubt we will be seeing Selene facing any consequences or MC puting his foot down once and for all, its just not the way it usually goes but if it does happen I would be pleasantly surprised.

I get what you are all saying...
But if the MC was an alpha male it would not have been targeted by these guys.
They need a nice and "weak" minded person to go alone their schemes.
A guy that will bend to their will: A regular good guy.
He doesn't put up with everything she does, he confronts her in the gym at lenght about what she did.
He cannot go farther because, if he doesn't keep her with him, he will be alone against these guys and he need all the help he can to save his friends/familly.
He believe that she will be toss out and he is not a murderer (regular guy with empathy).


So yeah I get that we all want to play a guy bigger than ourself (no pun intended or maybe yes).

It is a space opera story where we (I) tend to stress the story to find loopholes and inconsistencies.
"What would I have done ?"

But hey, it's like a book, you go with whatever the writer wrote. :)

On another topic, I get the reference of the slap in the face right at the first encounter ("I dare you to say what again.").

Something tells me he would have still found a way out if they had tried that.

To that point, my biggest complaint about this story so far is that the antagonists are almost too capable and too in control. It seems to me that they are too smart to be fooled by the MC's plan to tamper with the SDs and there would still be no major change in the status quo...

Frankly I feel like by now it's past time to tie a bow on the whole blackmail plot and move on to a new problem or crisis... preferably one that isn't centered around saboteurs sitting on ass while playing Selene and the MC like fucking marionettes.

Tell me, what's stopping the other baddy from releasing his trapped partner?

Or for that matter, from harming the hostage?

I don't think the MC is the one with half a brain here.
