As Crusader said we dont 100% know some said he offed himself and some said he was from ukraine which with the whole war thing forced him to dip

Nobody knows why he disappeared and I don't think he will return to work on AOA Academy... and even if he returned, I wouldn't trust him at all. He went away two years ago when the episode they never arrived was about to be released, he could do the same if he wanted.
The others who replied are just bringing up IMO old morbid talk and rumors. And it is just that. Rumors. Then there was last November on the 2nd he did try to warn others the Steam version was not his. And people tried to reach out and ask him for his reasons for what he did about the game and he again disappeared and gave no reasons.

yes they've made as much money as they can, and then shut up shop, in this case abandon the game that made them money. Sadly I am beginning to think AVN's are fast becoming a thing of the past, the more games get abandoned the less interested people will be, when new vn's appear with decent developers who will commit until their game is finished, which is going to be far too late sadly. Patreon + Renpy = is a scam artist's paradise. In this case I am guessing since the last update was over 2 years ago now, either the dev has milked his patrons for all he can, or something has happened to him..maybe changed his name and making another vn with the aim of abandoning it too, no one would be the wiser either. Truly sad and shocking state of affairs. I came here hoping for an update, since i'd forgotten about it. I had it on my ssd from several years ago, and thought I needed to update it..to find it abandoned.
Yeah know what you mean recently looked through all the games and the amount of decent and even some great games thats been abandoned over just the last couple years was kinda shocking imo
I've seen worse. Like some dev still getting paid $500 a month for a game that was abandonned 4 years ago! Maybe this one ran with the money, but he did not leave the subscribers paying for a remote hope of seeing this one get finished...

It's cool to see that this game still receives a lot of love and attention from the fans even on the AVN Lovers subreddit. To this day it seems unbelievable that this game was abandoned.
i wonder if anyone has the assets/roughly similar assets and could continue this.

unless it's the original developer creating it, or using the original developer's own notes, it wouldn't be the same story nor the same game. Every developer has their own ideas, their own story writing abilities, which basically means it wouldn't be the same story, even if it was the same looking models /assets etc. You really wouldn't want anyone else to continue this unless it was the original developer.

Maybe it's useless, but a part of me still hasn't lost hope that TLG will come back and finish this great game, this will sound stupid, recently I've been having dreams about the girls from A.O.A academy, it's very nice but at the same time also sad, when it's over to play it in 2022 knowing that it was abandoned I was crying all night, it broke my heart and I was depressed for 2 weeks, but I managed to recover, now having these dreams reopens old wounds, I still miss my beloved Valery and Elizabeth, I want to think that these dreams are a sign, but the truth is it's stupid, even so a part of me still hopes that this game will come back from the void and I can see my beloved Valery again.
This is useless but still, TLG please come back, if you don't want to explain why you abandoned this great project you don't have to, we are all human at the end of the day, we all have our reasons for being, each person is a world, and That is respected, if one day you read this, I hope you are well friend, please come back, just that, I don't expect you to read it but I don't lose anything XD

You have the game? Sell it at It.chio and you will see him returning here to "warn us" about the scam. Maybe this time he will stay a bit more and say something about the future of AOA Academy.

Thanks. Didn't know we could request a refund on games on there. I didn't know it was posted on there by someone other than the Dev. Plus, if I had known it was abandoned, I wouldn't have bought it anyway.
