wait so update doesnt even have anything between David & Anna? If so that's disappointing - I'm all for slow burn stuff, but after 4-5 updates cmon....

That's why a good strategy for slow burn setups is to have some kind of "sidestory filler", like a random girl to watch David sex scenes with, or at least have hot David+Anna marital sex scenes before the slow burn produces extra-marital spiciness.

Dude that's a total strawman though....it's not like there's only two possible options and nothing else; either Anna in gangbangs or Anna completely chaste.... there's nuance in gameplay. A skilled dev can work in story progression to still keep players engaged without a game feeling like it's dragging.

It's frustrating to see a fair amount of these retorts recently, whether it be here or someplace like WiaB, as if criticism of any story stagnancy is simply the detractor's inhability to appreciate a good buildup.

Milking slow progress is a very real thing in the avn-patreon culture.

In my opinion, anyone who complains about the update and the lack of sexual content should really look for another game. In my opinion, it actually happened much too quickly at the end.

I think that's not very realistic and actually happened too quickly for me. But regardless of that, the story was once again excellently written and Chris is truly a perfect antagonist to get excited about. Hail Blue Balls Club!

I thought this update was awesome.

We finally start to see the consequences of our choices in play.

We finally start to see that Anna is actually pretty smart and recognizes what scum Chris is (whether she continues to play him or shut him down completely)

Chris started off as one of my single most hated characters in any VN ever and now he's honestly kind of fucking pathetic. He is such a goddamn simp for Anna and she's just so much smarter than him. "hurr durr good thing I'm in the friendzone"

Even if Anna ends up cheating with Chris it seems like it'll be because she's using him and not because he is this master manipulator master of seduction that he thinks he is. I'm still of the mind that Jake is the only one that is an actual threat in this game (unless Marvin or the Boss straight up rape her).

My only complaint is that David is infuriating in that he knows Chris is ACTUALLY SHITTY WITH WOMEN BUT HE STILL FOLLOWS HIS ADVICE AND DOESN"T FUCKING TEXT HIS WIFE. DUDE!!! You have all the pieces together and just... fumble.

I'm looking forward to a very vanilla ending where no one cheats assuming the dev continues on this path of making choices matter. I've let Anna make naughty decisions but no submissive ones and shut down when things get too far but I think that will help reignite her sex life in the end who knows.

But can you open your mind a little bit and see what people complain about?? You can even see few of them paid for the game in this very thread and left paying not because of slow burn maybe because of short length update, more time taking update and maybe for other reason.

No, you must cast these impure thoughts from your mind! A Perfect Marriage is about boomers sending text messages to each other.

We allow one person to touch someone else's leg per update only because that's really good character development.

Hopefully the next update takes twice as long with half the play time because... reasons... and it will probably release in No Nut November.

For me, David is a bit too naive and trusting, he believes everything the idiot Chris tells him. David should pretend I listen to him on everything. And when he's not around to do his thing, I text Anna how Sophia and Anna is doing.

In this case, a happy ending for David would be that he takes revenge on the people who took his wife away from him and thus destroyed his happiness.

The DEV has to come up with such a revenge for whoever fucked Anna.

David will take the most important thing away from him in the near or distant future.

I don't want to argue here, because I don't know how the story will continue either, but I don't believe in such paths. For one thing, his supporters are not interested in such a thing, it's an NTR story and humiliation of the protagonists plays an important role/is an important part of it; secondly, the character of David with his background is not at all designed in such a way that he has a sufficient power base within the time period in which the story takes place or builds it up to be able to really take revenge.
Furthermore, there is no reason to take revenge on people who simply take the opportunity and have nothing to do with the intrigue. Chris is the exception but only because he is apparently David's best friend.
