Open question: how far do we think will things progress in the 2nd side job (tutoring)? Not just this update, but looking forward as well - like how far will she/they go? I've seen some posts suggesting it will be the mother (Mrs Meyers?) rather than the pupils. Anything from the development world to back that up or is it pure speculation?

For now I'd say speculation, and to be honest I think we've already got enough lesbian possibilities in the game so far so I hope there won't be much focus on Ava, she needs to show more interest in the tail too

It feels like its just pure speculation. This seems like its a tutoring job with focus on the 3 pupils, and i dont see how Mrs.Myers would be involved at all. There are a couple of lesbian storylines but i dont think this will be one of them, neither would it make sense(maybe with the daughter), but time will tell.

It all depends if you speak in number of days, in the game or RL. In the game, 18 days maybe 19 (L&P state 30/31 days).
In RL, errr .... between 8 and 10 years .

Zero secondary jobs would have been enough, but I suppose you have to give it to L&P in some way for reflecting the shockingly low wages teachers get in America that mean many of them have take 2nd or even 3rd jobs just to get by. Although, given Liam's job and the massive house they live in, Sophia doesn't even seem to need 1 job let alone 2.
