It's not a theory, it's basic business and political practiced all around the world. Either you change your ways to how the market is, or you are out of business. And to be clear it's not a plan to get the game abandoned. I don't want that in any way. It's giving a shot to the arm of the dev saying "if you don't start producing to what your supporters wants, you won't have an income". And, lets be honest if a dev doesn't have that reaction the game was never going to be completed anyway

Milfy City has 7k supporters and hasn't had an update in 1 year <- let that sink in.

I really don't understand what's the purpose in comparisons between games. They are (BaDik and Awam) totally different, Awam isn't even a game (it's a VN), and their creators have a totally different goals in mind while crafting their babies.

I'm pretty sure L&P likes the money he earns, but I'm most definitely sure that's not the main thing he sees when he works on his game. Do you really believe he don't know that releasing update every 2 months would boost his income? He also knows how to do it (lower his renders quality, hire help, use presets etc - he has so many consultants here, me included) he talked about it a long time ago in some of his posts here and on his Patren feed, but yet - he prefers to do it "his way", earn much less then he would and bust his ass with small adjustments that most of us wouldn't even notice while pressing ctrl to fast forward to the good parts.
I really believe he just can't do it, even if he wanted, he just can't. I'm working with talented and mathematically gifted teenagers, and I clearly see the same pattern here. I'm not saying L&P is mathematically gifted, maybe he is, I don't know, but he clearly has some of the side effects of gifted people. When I say he can't, I mean he would prefer stop working on his VN than lower the quality he see as a minimum. But that's just my interpretation of the situation...

Hi! I mentioned it before, I am a hobby writer and have a bit of a perfectionist streak myself. I know about personal vision for a project and what you put in it. The time I already spent in the Federal and other Archives to get the Time Era exactly for a specific story is VERY substantial, for example.
But an erotic VN is not a book per se, a development time of over a decade is simply not sustainable outside hobby, patrons will jump ship sooner or later.
As for L&P´s income: You do not see the whole picture. Not everybody goes for profit maximation, you can milk far easier if you do not get too greedy.
As for presets in special: You can build your own presets or tailor existing ones to your specs, that is something which does NOT lower quality, even a DAZ newbie like me knows that. These presets would lower the time spent creating scenes massively and with no loss of quality.

I think everyone is tired of the long gaps and perceived lack-of-content with each release (or I am). I don't back the project so no funding to pull (not sure the other fellow does either) but agree that pulling TOO much support will cause it to be abandoned which we don't want. However, a slight dip in Patreons (not an apocalypse) MAY cause them to rework their release date. I don't think there is an example needed to see that this may work (with Parteon comments explaining the drop).

Personally, I wouldn't mind a SLIGHT dip in quality (pre-sets, additional staffers etc.) to gain a bit more frequency in releases. I think its ridiculous when we need massive image file renders for some of these games.

That's the idea. You can create your own elaborate and complex presets. A lights preset can include godrays and a powerful computer will load it quickly.
Or poses presets. You can create your own. Elaborate, sophisticated, unique. But you have to create them and use them. When you deliver hundreds of renders a month we're talking about pro, not amateurs.

He has a round 1637 patrons just now and even if he did take a major hit, say 1k patrons leaving,I seriously doubt that he would abandon AwAm.We have all seen how stubborn he can be and this is his first project/his pride and joy/his baby so unless we have a cataclysmic event anytime soon I don't see him leaving AwAm.

expect. A Sophia with bare breasts, a little fiddling, kisses, a lot of erotic tension, a beautifully staged
main character and a slow progression of the plot, but nothing more.
You know it and yet your impatience is eating you up. And like a dog chasing its own tail, you keep turning in
circles when you argue. With yourself as the center.
Viper6, Igglesex, Scarlet65, Turm, Killjoys, ... You all must have realized that this game is not for you.
They don't like individual people and storylines, the protagonists are too young or too old for them, individual
scenes contain too many images, others too few, the focus is also on the wrong emphases, there is a lack of
pornographic scenes and now they are even beginning to want to prove that they could tell and illustrate the story
much better. And waiting for the next update is killing them. I do not understand that with this potential for
frustration you are still in this forum and have not already turned your back on the developer and withdrew his support.
And yet they continue to publish articles with good advice to the developer and hope that he hears them.
But GOD is silent. And when GOD speaks that you don't get the answers you hoped for.

Yes I don't like certain individuals in this game,are we meant to like them all?
Yes I am frustrated with the progress of this game(update wise)and so are a lot of people on this forum as for the update after next the only thing that I have said is that it will be a big and another long wait.
We have all discussed certain characters in the game and yes I do think that the apostles look too young but that is why I think that the mother will play a much bigger part.
I have NEVER said that I could illustrate the story much better than L&P.
I have NEVER complained about lack of sex scenes,I play the good wife route and that has plenty of sex.
I have talked with L&P(quite often) and asked him questions about the game but as I have said before I will not agree with every choice/decission that L&P has made.
As for me offering advice I don't think that I ever have(I could be wrong though),I have posted my thoughts on things,the prison visit/total contents of the bag/the apostles to name a few.
But please don't blanket Viper6, Igglesex, Scarlet65, Turm,Nexer all together as we all have different opinions on certain matters and I have had disagreements with both Nexer and Viper 6 and now you.
I have been a Patron with AwAm for the past 3 years, Legend level.

This graph is interesting because it tells different stories depending how you look at it.

If you view it broadly, growth looks steady. But if you look closer you see periods of flat growth and then periods of high growth. Beginning in early 2019, growth flatlined around 800 Patrons for many months. Growth picked up in late 2019 and continued through most of 2020 (for obvious reasons) before again flatlining for a couple of months.

But look at it in 2021. There was a SHARP uptick in Patrons at the beginning of the year, sharper than any other uptick before. But look at those monthly swings. The month to month swings have become unusually and disproportionately high when compared to previous months. Overall growth has flatlined again but the monthly numbers are more erratic than usual. I don't know what it means, it could just be statistical noise, but it does look weird.

Someone above, posted about 40 or so decent renders and he said it took him 13hours, L&P would be able to to 5 to 7. Its a con, honestly it's a con, I think this thread has woken up

If you're talking about the renders I posted, keep in mind my experience in daz is like 50h, not 4 years.
However, the quality is not close, as expected.

Regarding presets (in this example, expression presets), L&P says he tweaks all the expressions per scene, face by face.
That's what presets are for, there's only so many expressions Sophia and the other characters can make and in 4 years not having those presets... damn
