That is a fallacy that a lot of players fall into. I doubt any developers out there (that are making progress with their game) are actually purposefully coming out with slow updates as a strategy to "Make More Money"
If any developer uses this tactic it is moronic because faster updates with more content, of high quality is the absolute best way to make more money for a developer.
It is a highly competitive market for limited resources. Doing as you suggest is literally a developer shooting himself in the foot, and you claim it's so he can run faster?

As good as his images are, some nice dialogue, this delay issue kills the game, unfortunately if he continues at his pace the next update is only after March at the earliest.

Exactly. I'm not saying he sucks at what he does or anything like that. AWAM as a concept is good! The problem is the development (or lack thereof) and how transparently needless it is. It serves one purpose and it's not releasing the best story possible in any manner of time, let alone his schedule.
I also do actually question whether he is just sick of it at this point. The money is clearly terrific but maybe he'd rather do anything else? If that's the case, that's fine! Start a 2nd VN and alternate at a faster pace or go work a normal 9-5 job or end AWAM or whatever. I don't care beyond the absolute fact that what he's doing now is wrong. It really is wrong on a moral level.
Let's be real here, it's a Friday/Saturday and guys are on here to jqck-off to 3D rendered models. I'm here, too so it's not like I'm the bastion of "cool" lol. Point being that if you're here you're likely a lonely person.
So what he's doing is taking the money of lonely men and delivering nothing. Quite actually dangling a carrot on front of them that they will never get and I don't think the hardest of supporters realizes that they'll never get it! Ever. He will abandon this story if you stop paying and he'll do it before you see her fuck someone you want to see her fuck even if you keep paying. I guarantee that much. This isn't his art, a story he must tell. This is clearly his retirement plan.
And that's wrong. I'm not looking for loads of morality on a forum for pirating porn games (lol) but what he's doing is immoral. To then tell supporters that he can't hire help to speed up the process is a lie so awful that I almost respect it's brazen-ness. It's that comical of a lie.
I don't even play the VN after a couple years ago...and it's no further along now than it was then. Two years of collecting those funds for, what, 20 minutes of story? It bothers me enough to see people being taken so brazenly that I feel compelled to write this despite knowing his supporters and/or mods will delete it under claims of "trolling" when I'm being sincere.
AWAM is, IMO, the worst thing on this site because of what it represents and is REALLY about. It's goal is not storytelling. It's not a passion project that he's happy to be getting paid for. I know those when I play them. No, AWAM is fn sinister at this point lol

A visual aid to help everyone understand where things stand.
On that note, it seems to me that the real "development hell" comes from the 3-D model rendering games. Just from what I've seen, it's much easier (if more initially expensive) to commission artists to make a range of poses/backgrounds/characters, and then development can proceed much quicker. Japan has had a much larger and more vibrant smut game market than the USA since the early 90's, which is at such a high level of development that some of the smut games even become mega-million dollar franchises like Fate/Stay Night.
Bane71 i respect others opinions on the matter ( on contrary of L&P blind supporters that define me as a troll ) but you really think that this novel is so great? A great novel must have an ending and simply I don't see how is possible that this game can reach and end. I believe that you are younger than me, that means you are still living in a kindergaden full of fairy tales characters. The reality is too different, the only thing that move the world is the money and L&ATMP knows it. Open your eyes, the time of fairy tales it's over since 2001.
