But you are right when you ask the question why such people still come here to discuss. Because occasionally it's actually about the game and not the developer. People who write posts like they do have, as pirates, the right to freely express their opinions here, of course. But why they despise people who give them the opportunity to play the game for free, remains a mystery to me.

UNLESS there is no other developer, which could explain why he's not ready to release update 1/10 if he still couldn't manage to create a solid animation matching his standards.

Anyway, in the end we don't know what this new feature's supposed to be. All I know is that it's gotta blow my head off my shoulders after all the hype he's produced regarding this "special" addition to the game, which I doubt is gonna happen.

The update is only short if L&P followed through on his initial comment from the start of the process for this event, but if he changed his mind during the middle, like with the Aiden event in v0.130, then he probably turned this one into a major plot event as well based on what you're speculating it to be. It's almost like he doesn't know his own story and which events will be considered major plot events until he starts to design it. Whatever it could be, He is deadset that it needs to be in this update which is most likely tied in with his helper and I would expect the render count to be high as well.

If the story is planned out, one would think that he should already know where the key or major plot points are going to be in his novel, which he should know will be bigger than your "average" update. Also, it makes me wonder if he is concerned or second-guessing himself about event base release and if it was a good idea to do it now based on this comment made back in March.

All we know right now is everything he said in his post isn't working out.
  • Updates will be released from now on after any main event is finished. Which means they will be smaller of course but come out quicker.

Nothing is working out because he can't stick to a plan. He says one thing and the next month he does something different.
There's no story planned out, he doesn't know what is going to be a big event and what is not hence why that list of "hot events" he threw around to shut people up is, pardon my french, bull shit.

Also, are we pinning the blame on the "helpers" when it's clear L&P sounds impossible to work with?
Never forget he "hired" a translator and instead of sending him a script, he would just send him cut out sentences so the translator would try to figure out a translation without any context.

If L&P doesn't get better, he'll fall behind, which he already is tbh, if we go to "latest updates" there are plenty of new games incoming, all with nice quality renders and some even have great animations and a bit of gameplay.
