I would say pointless more than unrealistic. Why accept Aiden's blackmail in the first place only to opt out of it later? By choosing to play the Dylan route in the introduction and not sending him to boarding school, you're essentially choosing for Sophia to become a degenerate, worthless slut. Which is perfectly fine if that's how you choose to play. Like if you're playing the bonus storyline and choose to forgive Logan, turning Ellie into a slut.

What is the "Twist"?

Some dumb plot twist whereby Dylan was working with Aiden in an elaborate scheme. I think Aiden was supposed to help Dylan hook up w/ Sophia further along the tasks.

What a terrible twist that would've been. Much better storyline that Aiden is a genuine sadistic deliquent. And Dylan has some weird oedipus complex mostly because he's failed with every girl his own age. Much better story than...a couple of kids schemed to see Mom/Milf tits

I play the Aiden route but if Sophia was to become a "degenerate, worthless slut" as a result of it, this would surgically extract the eroticism & the fun from the situation. I would liken it to the incest being practiced in an alternate dimension, where this was not taboo but the expected, everyday behaviour of well-adjusted families. Sophia needs to retain her inner self & do stuff against her better judgement. This is the erotic kink of having a degree of power over a beautiful, intelligent, sophisticated woman. Eventually she needs to get through the whole situation & come out the other side, corrupted perhaps but not a degenerate.

Just as I struggle to find any eroticism in the incest routes & am only just on the perimeter of understanding the appeal, after several years, so there are misconceptions around regarding the blackmail. There are those who enjoy the degeneration into slobbering, on demand HJs, BJs, fucking etc, of course but if Sophia was to become just another mindless fuck-toy, as per the MCs of many other games, this would be a step too far for me. Presently, I'm concerned about two issues, the first of which is the disappearance of Aiden for c5 years. AFAIC, he's gone. There's no way any storyteller can expect to maintain the pace of tale with such a gap. [I'm fully aware this doesn't just apply to the blackmail, in fact almost all the storylines that interest me are in a similar hiatus]. If the game is still here in 5 years, I'll be very surprised. That's if I'm still here, of course.

Secondly, there's the "uncomfortable solution" to the blackmail, which can only ever be an issue if AWAM survives. Currently, we're meant to believe that enlisting the Mafia & being in long-term debt to them is a "comfortable solution." Other games I've played have encompassed murder, whether by a main character, or procured, or acquiesced to by them. This would also completely destroy the whole of AWAM, for me, whether I opted for such a choice or not. As I stop playing anything with bestiality in it, even when avoidable, (because it's an image that lingers in the mind), so it is when an MC becomes involved in murder.

It more or less makes sense by story, flirting with some guys is mandatory to be able to start the lesbian route (you don't have to do anything sexual with them) because that leads to the scene with Patricia which is arguably the trigger for her and Ellie's route.

But already after that and once their routes have been started, it has not been necessary to flirt again with guys to continue, it was only at the beginning.

I do understand that but even then I still think the way the flirting goes is a little too much, even considering Patricia you should just do it when you are with her as a way to get her interest, and not when you are alone or with someone else(the use of "doesn't make sense" may have been a little too much).

In the end, I say those things mostly because I am a little mad that this is one of the fell games where you are a woman and can go a route other than slut (I know that there are other ones but they are few), or the men in the game are at least decent instead of every man you pass by looks at you and wants to bang you and they are very Chad like and hands-on, so mostly its because I want a lesbian game in a normal environment were its not just woman, and the man act "normal" and I can go either just woman, man or both.

I've never seen how Sophia could remain the smart, sophisticated woman I believe her to be by playing the Dylan route and accepting Aiden's tasks, so I don't play the route.

Correct. For those on the Ellie and Patricia routes, there's no content worth playing this entire playable day. Currently there's only about a minute of content.

Yes, that was all a bit of a surprise, (not a pleasant one) & seemed to go against the grain of how the route had been written up to that point. There's often a fine line between straightforward porn & erotic writing. I saw this as yet another nod to the tweenage schoolboy fanbase but didn't comment at the time because AWAM's descent into immaturity & stereotyping has now become noticeable to more fans than just the likes of me. If L&P is "rushing things" as per the unnecessary gang HQ meeting, I wish he would redirect such an impetus to providing some chunkier, faster updates of core storylines so that ALL fans could benefit.

L&P could re-establish the "class" anytime he chose, IMO but the whole project seems to be travelling in the opposite direction. Why he's decided to put the class on hold, we can only guess at but once again, I've got a fairly good idea. As for the 2nd side job, it's not just that I dislike shota but the sequence reads as though a different Dev had written it. Who'd have thought I'd be impelled to go back to the 1st side job, which is one of the most unrealistic strands of the VN, IMO?

It hasn't had a change of title. Some time ago Dylan, the son, was made an official 2nd MC, since when we've enjoyed or endured depending on POV, a lot of Dylan, including his occasional POV & side stories. [Despite which many Dylan fans complain when any other characters take the spotlight]. Some fans would, perhaps cynically, suggest that AWAM should be retitled but it hasn't happened....yet.

I loved the interactions between Ellie and Julia as well especially because you can read their emotions and what they are thinking, (especially Julia because I find her so cute) and I got really excited when I knew that Ellie had never been with a man (mostly) and had the chance to bring her to be lesbian only (with Julia and the FMC only if possible), and I did press CTRL in most of the flirting interactions with a man as well, as I really don't like them.
