You are correct my friend. What this highly talented developer desperately needs is a trusted editor, not to stem creativity, but to keep the flow of his work within acceptable parameters and accountability toward his patrons.

I suggested this years ago. I proposed that the person should not have previously been associated with the game, thus acting in a neutral capacity, as with the best editors in the publishing industry. As things got worse & the need for an editor became more obvious, I offered to do it myself, for free, of course.

This wouldn't have been so good & those who dislike me would have been appalled but it was a way of offering practical help, as opposed to criticising. I also proposed to consult with others concerning kinks which I didn't follow. There was naturally the safeguard that the Dev had the final word, so, in theory, no bias either conscious or unconscious should have crept in. I did once edit many years worth of a local newspaper, temporarily employed within a limited timeframe, in the era before PCs.

If the Dev ever read it, I don't know but the need for an editor seems greater now than ever.

I stopped playing after the 45 seconds of boring the v.160 update turned out to be. Even the salon event, the only "event" in my playthrough this playable day - to my knowledge isn't worth the download.

Don't run the risk of missing the point, sir...lol Every1 knows what you're talking about when you mention oedipus, as I believe even this game has at some point. The real concern here...is how to keep a kid who wants to kick his dad's ass, with the tools to do so now - from kicking his dad's ass. I know l&p didn't think this through until right now. What could happen is a stand off/re-organization of inner household dynamics between Dylan & Liam. What's likeliest to happen instead, is Sophia tries to bribe Dylan into not confronting his Father about the photoshoot, given how (till-death) reluctant she was to tell Dylan about it at all. He (l&p) still doesn't want them to have sex yet, cuz that blows the emotional load (unless they include ellie/but where doez that leave Liam?), so odds are he uses this as a way to tease some more, exhausting ALL POSSIBLE forms of foreplay between these 2, making whenever they DO have sex - quite frankly Boring.

You've re-interpreted the 'realism' issue to suit your line of contention, as in 'the Dev only meant that the pictures would be realistic.' Now you're suggesting I take AWAM seriously & you're calling me "stupid" again, mainly because I hold the opposite POV to yourself it seems. I've never taken AWAM seriously but came to it for escapism. Despite what has been stated elsewhere on this thread, I don't live a "cosy" life, (the opposite in fact) & relish the chance of a good erotic story. Fat chance these days.

Early on I overlooked the employment law issue raised by the Principal's breach of contract, i.e. waiting until Sophia had started work before informing her that only part-time hours could be worked. It may have escaped many fan's attention but that was massive. As to myself, I did what I always used to do & cut the Dev some slack, rationalising it away by surmising that Sophia wouldn't want to "rock the boat" in a new job, in a new city. She basically didn't need the hassle.

It's an issue I know about from RL, having been hauled before a tribunal accused of breach of contract. I walked away "not guilty" eventually but it is a career damager & potential career breaker & it was a very close run thing. Did I use my experience to criticise the Dev..... no. It wouldn't be the last time that I ignored reality regarding AWAM & I'm guessing most of us here could say the same. We know what fiction & fantasy are & the suspension of disbelief they require. We're not "stupid."

As I worked for 15 years in HR in organisations employing thousands, sometimes tens of thousands of people, occasionally, (thankfully rarely), I would come across some of the most depraved sexual activities of which human beings are capable & I'm not talking about office love affairs & the lies & work disruption they can generate. I have a particular distaste for underwear theft BUT I would never try to exclude it from a work of fiction. What I definitely WOULDN'T do, however, would be to make it a hobby of the romantic lead, or a joint MC. It's a sign of how far AWAM has de-generated that Sophia's reaction to her dear boy's abhorrent behaviour is to fund a night on the town with him. Incest or not, porn logic notwithstanding, nobody ever made it with a woman by stealing her underwear, unless it was some sort of role-play. More 'realistic' as a seduction technique would have been for Dylan to stick a finger up his nose, stand on one leg, jump up on the garden wall & try to imitate a seagull's call.

As for the children, by which I assume you mean the apostles, there was no way any of that could be rationalised away. I ignored it by regarding it as one of the old style superhero "alternative" stories that DC comics made a habit of producing. They could be ignored as "non canon," some turned out to be "dreams," so that my virgin schoolboy self didn't have to worry about such dross as, "What if Jimmy Olsen was an alien?" or "What if Lois Lane had the superpowers?" No wonder Marvel Comics became the market leader back then.

It begs the question of what is going to happen to that 2nd side job on Steam? They can't be aged as with Dylan because that would be even worse than the present nonsense.

I was very amused, in a good way, by your appreciation of the "abhorrent" attitudes of the Great Manipulator.

On the one hand, I think that the attitude of stealing his mother's underwear to jerk off can be subdivided into 3 paths that are as logical as they are fun: 1) Exhausted by her son's attitude, Sophia finally comments that to Liam, and the cuckold adjusts his pants like a man, and punches Dylan in the face. He barely has a few karate classes, and there is the question of parental respect and knowing that he is totally lacking, for which he will not be able to defend himself 2) Making a demonstration of humanity, the couple immediately agree to send Dylan to boarding school, not to see him again until Christmas, and they agree with the psycho-pedagogical office to exhaustively monitor the behavior of the little psychopath. Or, to add a lot of humor to the plot, 3) That these behavioral tendencies are clearly manifested in Dylan. Anyone with basic knowledge in psychology knows that this happens as soon as their plan fails. It would be extremely interesting to see Dylan's reaction in that case. It can beextremely fun.


To finish, your comment reminded me of the movie "There's something about Mary" in which there was the stalker who broke out in purulent pimples for his morbidity of stealing Mary's shoes ;-) any similarity with our adolescent anti-hero, I think it's not too much of a coincidence LOL

Just as Sophia is about to teach and show them intercourse, the door to the room opens and Liam, Sam, Ellie, Dylan, Patricia, Carl, the movers, all of Sophia's students at school, Natalie, Amber, Neil, Claire, Dylan's soccer team, the four drunks in the park, Mr. Murray, Ellie's friends in the dance course, the college guys at the museum, the fitness instructor, spa masseurs, and the nursing home geezers all walk in at the same time through the same door, stop and look at each other saying, "What the fuck...?", the room explodes, THE END!

Since we are all here providing our commentary for free - it will span the gamut from positive to negative regarding the dev and his 'business' practices re: AWAM.

If you don't want to read what you don't agree with, put all of those posters (include me if that helps) on ignore.

This simply means that you will no longer have to suffer opinions different than yours once you identify the perpetrators.

Many of us here are former supporters who got frustrated with broken promises and eventually stopped supporting L&P.

You have the right to have your opinion (just like everyone else on this thread).

It is even better if you share Why you have that opinion, unless you are not interested in a genuine discussion. Ideally, your post will result in a discussion with some agreeing with you and others not, hopefully with most providing their reasoning as part of the discussion versus the oh so nebulous 'facepalm' which says nothing specific and heralds some level of disagreement with the poster, their existence or both...

I am one of the people who generally likes AWAM up to this point in time.

My issues with AWAM are a dev that over-promises and underdelivers coupled with an AVN that can only be roadkill trying to cross the highway of time to get to PD 30 complete.

I won't regurgitate all of my reasoning for this assessment... instead, let me ask you two questions based on the statement below.

(The current estimate among many people here following the development cycle of AWAM is that we will not reach PD 30 complete until sometime after the RL year 2050*.)


My questions for you:

1. Are you fine giving a dev your $ support for 3 decades of your life while you wait for AWAM to reach PD 30 complete?

I'm asking if you are willing to vote with your wallet to maintain support for 360+ monthly payments to L&P versus facepalm responses coupled with the occasional 'stop the hate' posts which cost you $0.00.

2. Do you think it is a normal and reasonable 'business' practice in AVN creation to ask for supporters to provide you with $ donations for > 35 years to, hopefully, get 1 complete AVN at the end of that 35+ year period?

I think something is happening in this game, like in the movie, that the first part of the series gets broken because of the second part of the series.

And you(fanboys), too, are not loyal to this game and will soon find another game if this game is discontinued.

Hey, guys.
I want to address the current slowdown in the game's development progress. These past few weeks have been challenging for me, as unexpected private matters came up that initially seemed minor but ended up causing delays. But the main reason for the seemingly standstill of the progress display is a miscalculation of the size and effort of the scenes.
I thought for the last part of the event after the club visit, I don't need that long. I gave it just approx. 25%. But this final part turned out to be bigger/longer and more difficult than I first thought. This has story technical and development technical reasons. For example, rendering takes much longer than usual due to certain technical circumstances of the scenario. Editing will also be no child's play afterwards. So instead of a 75/25% distribution, it turned out to be more of a 55/45% one.
I apologize for any inconvenience caused by these miscalculations and delays. Rest assured that I'm doing everything I can to finish this update as soon as possible. I'm already at the very end of the scene creation.
