One of the things I've noticed while I've been trying my hand at editing AWAM is how much unnecessary dialogue there is. I've occasionally taken out whole blocks just because they don't add anything to a particular scene, and removing it helps the scene flow better.

Which made me realise that for every block of conversation I take out, that's an unnecessary render. And I'm only on day 1. Really makes me curious how much I'll end up taking out after people have commented about not liking the amount of internal monologue Sophia has at times.

As far as I understand, the story has already been written...
The story has already been outlined, meaning at most he's got notes for: Who, What, Why and When.
So back in late 2017 when the game first started the Changing Room scene with Dylan probably looked like - 'Day 17, Noon. Sophia + Dylan. Sophia shows Dylan her tits. Dylan convinces Sophia he needs experience with the female body'

He 100% doesn't have the actual 'He said, She said' dialogue or the narration written out before he starts rendering the scenes, and if you're thinking that's hella inefficient. Yes.

Oh my Gosh, yes!

You don't notice it so much when you're just reading through while playing the game - but when I was re-writing the dialogue for my thing I realized that the Ellie Shower scene has Ellie asking for 'Some specific techniques' Four times.
Sophia responds with 'Basic indication of do's and don'ts' and then they talk round in a circle before Ellie just repeats the same 'Some specific techniques' question again

A) Rule of threes, why make things messy by going round a fourth time
B) I think the intention was for Ellie's requests to escalate: She starts vague, but Sophia doesn't get it so she has to zero in on 'Show me how you touch yourself!' - But Ellie's actual request to see how Sophia enjoys herself doesn't come until after the fourth go around.

My speculation (this is a biased conclusion BTW) was that the repetition comes from the way L&P writes: He'll do a chunk of dialogue - then go away to mock-up renders (for however long that takes) - then come back to write the next chunk of dialogue, so there's a certain amount of forgetting what was said 3 or 4 lines ago.

In that case updates will only get slower over time, time between releases will increase and the number of events per release will fall further.

I would guess if people are here complaining about development time it's because they like the game and want to see it completed. Slow burn games always run the danger of being a severe disappointment once the tease portion of the story is over and really we have no idea if this one can ever deliver.

Let's say everything continues as-is: How long before the story stops and a "remaster" is needed to bring the visual style upto spec with the standards of the time? 2 years? 3? Hardware and software tools are moving forward all the time.

Are we expecting that L&P will be in his 30s or 40s, married with kids and still working on day X of this game? That's what's going to be needed for it to be finished.
You are making comments that are relevant, reasonable, and fair.
But let's try to jointly ask some questions and find answers to them, as well as discuss together.

First question: Do you think L&P is so stupid that it does not understand the problems that the participants of this forum are describing?
I believe that he is no more stupid than you and me, therefore, I consider it inappropriate to repeat the same problems over and over again.

The second question, is whether he wants to find and attract specialists to work on the creation of AWAM or not?
For me personally, it is quite obvious that he has such a desire. But I also understand that this is not at all easy, especially considering the specifics of the project being created and his personal attitude to keeping the secrets of the plot development.

The third question is whether the project will be completed with the creation in full as planned by L&P or will be abandoned?
Regardless of our desires and the desires and capabilities of L&P, the correct answer is 50/50!
There are many reasons for and against, so I suppose it's not constructive to guess. The constructive position in my humble opinion is that if you like AWAM, then try to help its creator, first of all, materially, and if there is no such opportunity or desire, then maral support will not be superfluous either.

Personally, I was pushed to provide material support to L&P, constant complaints about milking. Interestingly, such complaints are first of all expressed by those who did not give him any money.

And the last thing I want to say, AWAM, is the L&P project! Therefore, whether we like the way he works, how he tells us his story or not, we at least need to understand that it is his full right to do everything as he does it himself. Based on this, comments and suggestions must be expressed with respect. This is the only way we have the opportunity to somehow influence the process.

I don't think we can eliminate the Alyssa/Dylan route altogether.
If we choose Sophia to ride Antonio, we lose the yoga event. Which means we lose progress on the Marie/Dylan route and even Sophia/Patricia. It would even leave the Sunday ranch visit event up in the air.
So, Ellie/Julia/Patricia plus Dylan/Marie on one side and Alyssa/Sophia on the other. But, Alyssa/Sophia stops the advance on the Dylan/Marie route. In this case, Dylan is left with no women :whistle:, just Sophia and ... Alyssa???

Except that Dylan has another opportunity to meet Marie on playable day 13 at the salon if Sophia hangs out with Alyssa and Antonio.

And even if you chose the wrong answers to Marie's questions, Patricia makes it clear there will be more opportunities to pursue Marie in the future.

True, but it won't be the same. During the Yoga event, if Patricia doesn't have enough points you lose the shower scene.
Alyssa/Sophia route limits Dylan's contact with women. Dylan gets stuck in the Sophia/Alyssa circle.

And another thing, Sophia riding Antonio with the boys in the next room is ... suspicious.

The shower scene has absolutely no effect on Dylan's Marie points.

What I'm saying is that if Dylan doesn't impress Marie during the Yoga event, or even meet her, there's still the opportunity again on playable day 13 at the salon. That Marie pursues Dylan even with no Dylan points shows its importance to his development in the future.

I think he will simply abandon the game once hes done milking his patreons and will leave, no matter how much others curse, it wont effect him in any ways cause he would be happy with the money he got out of this project. So I dont think this game will ever have an ending but yes it will get abandoned.

Marie earns points during the yoga event (3 points ). You can't say that the relationship will be the same.

I'm not. I'm saying that if it's less than 3, Dylan has another chance to get it to 3 on day 13.
One more detail, during the yoga event Marie suggests to Sophia that she can bring Dylan to their meetings. It remains to be seen if without this event, yoga event, Dylan will take part in the next event on day 13.

Of course he's going to be there. If it wasn't required for Dylan to meet Marie there's no reason for him to have been in the Yoga event on the boarding school route. The excuse he gives on that route is that he spent all his bus money. Which is flimsy as fuck and something I think L&P just hacked on, like Dylan needing to pick something up from Zac's on the way back.

And if you play from Sophia's POV, it's the only event in the entire game so far that a character gets points without a conscious decision by the player.

I wonder when I stepped on your corn?
I see a clear desire to prick me. I believe only because I show understanding and tolerance towards L&P.
I perfectly understand that everyone has their own preferences, both in computer games and in food.
I could understand you if there were sex scenes in the game that you do not accept. And if we make an analogy with the consumption of food, then the table has not yet been set in the game, the discussion of the menu is dragging on for at least a couple of years, you have not even been invited to the table yet, and you are already showing disgust and dislike for some dishes that are on the table not yet.

But in any case, to each his own and I partly understand you.
I think you got it wrong. I don't follow some paths either, simply because they don't interest me. And because of that, I don't have the feeling of missing out on anything. For example, if at some point Sam is stuck on any route I will drop him. The other reason is that I don't emotionally identify with certain characters and paths and therefore avoid them. Why should I feel like shit playing? I'm not doing that to myself. I think that is how the remark should be understood.

I have nothing against those who do not go all the routes, but go selectively. But unlike the friend to whom I answered, you do not compare my omnivorousness in the game with eating cardboard. And besides, my post does not mean that it is absolutely necessary to solidify with him, everyone has the right to their own choice, my friend.
