You've got some false statements/opinions written as facts.
1.
you don't get anything except for what is promised by the creator for whatever level of patronage you're in (which he has the right to change at any given time)
That doesn't happen with L&P. Not only patreon goal promises are ignored, he doesn't even fulfill tier promises. For instance legend patrons don't get:
- Your name mention in the credits
- You get to vote for future game topics
- Access to some hot scenes of future releases
2.
Take all Daz3d based games here on f95 and calculate the average of their renders to days in production ratio
You get the top games out there, do that ratio and then come back to us and tell us he isn't a slow af developer. Keep in mind that even a 2 render/day difference in a baseline of 5/6 is a big difference.
3.
That apply mostly on gifted and perfectionist people.
It's time to end the charade. L&P isn't a perfectionist. He has a great talent for rendering to which he worked for over the last 4 years. Just check the first renders and you'll see they are at the level of anyone starting.
Perfectionist people try to perfect every aspect of their work, including development. They don't pick and choose.
4.
For the first part - on the contrary. Updates have become larger, and thats one of the issues some have with L&P's methods.
Fuckin wrong again. Updates went from 1 day to half a day to a third of a day now. Development time has gone from 6 months to 4 months back to 5/6 months therefore more time to provide less content and less story. The number of render means shit if the story does not advance. The bride event did 0 for the story (specially the part with liam), the same with the trip to nowhere with Aiden and the story with Dylan. Story gained 0 from stuff he took 2 months to work with. Again Perfectionist people understand their flaws and work on them, L&P just makes it worse.
5.
Take 30 days of graphics cards issue and you'll get 7.2.
Blatant lie. There was no 30 days of graphics card issue. Jan 13 the gpu issue started, he still did some rendering but the fix was found when he bought new GPUs on January 30. It was 17 days (at worse) of
lower output, not a complete stall and not 30 days.
Maybe before you tell someone else to speak with facts you should probably check them yourself.
As for .6 and .7, they are opinions and anyone can have theirs.
Either you're really confused by your hatred to L&P or you didn't really payed attention.
1. "That doesn't happen with L&P. Not only patreon goal promises are ignored, he doesn't even fulfill tier promises"
Never said it happens with L&P. If you search enough, you'll find a post I made that criticize L&P exactly on this. But be fair, we did vote on some polls, and he never said there will be a poll for every update.
2. If you think only top tier games sets the industry norme, no problem, take only top tier games (you know milfy city and dual family are top tier games, right?). But to normalize quality, make a poll to give each game a quality rank between 1 and 10. The ratio were looking for is quality*renders/days. And no, 2 out of 5 or 6 isn't a big difference, and it certainly not "far from half of the industry norm"
3. You are definitely not familiar with perfectionists. Don't know about you, but that's a big part of my profession.
"Just check the first renders and you'll see they are at the level of anyone starting". That's not true for our current time (imo), and it certainly isn't true for the games we had 4 years ago. Sure there were better renders at the time, but L&P's first release renders were better than most (I'll say 80-90%) of the games 4 years ago. And what you're implying is perfectionist people are better than anyone else even when they are total beginners, and that's nonsense.
"Perfectionist people try to perfect every aspect of their work, including development. They don't pick and choose." That's just not true, and I dont really need to give examples. There are many types of perfectionism and that disorder is within a scale and not 0 or 1 only. It usually comes with some other disorders which L&P demonstrates in his replies (I bet Drfappalot still remembers what happened when he criticized Liam for the dept...). Moreover, I never said it is a fact and I specifically said it's my theory.
4. No, that's not fuckin wrong. When Turret said updates became smaller, he could specifically say he means it as a part of a gameday. When someone reads it, the 1st thing that comes to mind is number of renders. And you know what, that statement (Turret's) isn't true even when you look at what part of a day he's delivering. If I remember correctly, day 9 was built upon 3 updates. And there's a not so small of a chance that the horse riding day would be a 1 or 2 updates day since it's only 1 event day. But that doesn't really matter, it's pretty obvious that as time progresses, a choice based VN will become heavier with each day.
No it isn't, but it wasn't accurate either. Jan 11 is the day we were informed about the cards change, and the 10 days before were dedicated to rest/story revisions. So the correct number is 6.76. Even if you take down the renders he made with the defective cards, that's closer to his normal pace than the 3-5 number.
