Basic business and marketing thinking is that in L&P and any other dev's case where you have patrons and people that you constantly make promises to deliver and fail, you need to adjust the pace and quality balance to keep your results, number and reputation going fine and keep the potential of growing. Let's say what he says is true and such one animation only would take 3 months to be done, why the fuck would a patron wait 3+ month for one animation to be done, and instead in 3 months he could have delivered 2 mid sized updates with maybe a bit "less quality" animations but at least he delivers and keeps the business going in the right path.. until he maybe gets bigger and gets more and more income (which he already does) and hires more people then he can of course set the bar higher and higher each time and keep the balance for his promises in place. Of course if he takes 1 year he could get a super duper cool animation but in the end it will be marked he took a fucking year to deliver it....

worth the wait, best of the best, shame most don't care about animation and prefer L&P didn't add it.

if the animation of L&P are on this level, then yes, its worth the time we waiting. if not its not, simple as that.

And yet there are still some people that wonder why this thread gets so negative and hostile towards L&P. What a tremendous douche bag. Just the highest caliber asshole you can be. He doesn't give a fuck about anyone, pirate or patron, he's simply a self righteous asshole. How dare anyone question him? How dare a patron express fair frustration? Everyone is beneath him and he holds them all in contempt. Fuck you, I'm the best, you're just lucky to have my game to play. You'll eat your gruel and you'll like it.
Edit- I'll temper this a little, because I know this thread has been heated recently, but his response is really bad. Like, we need to call a spade a spade when it comes to a dev that can't even treat their patrons with respect. It's one thing to totally hate pirates and to come on here and chastise us, most of us don't pay for the game (or have stopped paying) so it's understandable to be a little antagonistic towards us. But when you can't even treat your patrons with respect, why should anyone hold back and treat the dev with respect? When a patron expresses frustration in a direct, but fair, way and the dev responds with sarcasm and sidestepping the concern, we should absolutely acknowledge that crappy behavior and highlight it. That sort of behavior needs to be publicized because it's a direct reflection of the dev as a business person. You would want to know if the owner of your local restaurant was a jerk whenever a customer complained that their food was served cold, so calling L&P out for this only seems fair.

IF WE HAVE TO WAIT 4 MONTHS FOR AN UPDATE CAUSE OF AN ANIMATION THEN WE DON'T WANT IT, WE WERE GOOD WITHOUT THE ANIMATION BEFORE AND WE'LL BE FINE WITHOUT IT NOW. NEXT UPDATE DO NOT ADD ANIMATION.

Hes been doing this for awhile. He did it to me and I dropped his sub for the last time.
I went from a big fan to a big disapointed fan in the past month because of his attitude and delays. I'm still a patron this month because I forgot to unsub.. Now I'm just monitoring closely.

You should unsub RIGHT NOW. Yeah, it's too late for April but don't dick around with it and end up paying for May too. This guy doesn't deserve one more dime of your money. There are plenty of cool devs out there that need support, let's reward good behavior and punish bad behavior.

I never deleted any comment on my site as long as they didn't contain any "inappropriate words" which you shouldn't say on Patreon for a reason you all know about! And if I did that I always messaged these patrons where I told them the reason why I deleted the comment! Since the beginning there have been some cases where patrons asked me why I deleted their comment although I didn't. They just wrote it again. It also happened once or twice to me either that I answered someone but somehow it wasn't posted. So, I don't know the explanation why this happens. If you scroll through the comments of my posts on Patreon you will find a lot of critical comments where people even bash and attack me! Why the hell should I leave all of these comments but delete some where someone is maybe offering help??? That makes no sense!
You really should finally stop with spreading these fake news here cause it really starts getting annoying! Plus stop tearing apart anything I say just because I'm more direct and not hiding myself behind some hypocrite mask!
Wow, but what is clear is that those of us who work with similar issues know that the creation and development time is not similar to what we see in your progress bars and the direct question of why you take so long is never answered? and above all because it took so long to develop animations on characters that in principle no one is interested in. Wouldn't faster development be better for you and your fans?

Always on the defensive, man I don't feel any pleasure seeing L&P crumbling before my eyes, my advice is that he should come clean and said: "Guys I fuck it up with the animations and I also wants to apologize for all the mountain of lies I spread during all this time, I learn my lesson and I will do better"
