Before this "testing" bar appeared , there were always few time (maybe 1-2 days) between all bars at 100% and the real release. And every time people complained about what happened meanwhile. And it was the testing/finalizing (these 20% are probably L&P testing part and I'll have my part - gallery + testing the update). So L&P added this bar. And now, "no this bar means nothing, it's just to fool patrons...". These endless fucking conspiracy theories "blabla nothing happens, he just want to delay...". How many times I ended my day late night (or early morning

I guess we can assume the man is doing only this for work and he works everyday for about 4 hours to get that many renders done?
At the end of the day everyone would surely prefer he worked full days and the pace doubled but I say, we're still living in the patreon world and this world has its own rules. He's an independent artist doing this type of creative work for years now and he's still at it. It's easy for someone in this situation to have had enough of the pressure, and after getting enough money, to just want to enjoy more of life and less of work (milfy city's creator Icstor comes to mind).
It would also be nice, if he does want to enjoy more of life, for him to just pay someone to do the work. It would probably still be quite profitable and he could then just relax or work much less. But this is easier said than done with artistic work. There are plenty of AWAM copycats out there, extra stories etc, none of them approaches the level of quality of the original imo, not in terms of script, much less in terms of renders.
But damn, I really wished he could update the game every 2 months with 400 renders, that would be the sweet spot. But oh well, I'm just glad he is still going

That's cool and all, but how come you're not asked to do your thing during "Programming&Translation", you know, since you're doing that kinda stuff. Are you trying to tell me that he couldn't have you work on the gallery then? Why does that require another bar instead of using the existing one to convey the actual progress? How is "final coding" translated to "Bibi updating the Gallery"? And now the bar is progressing without you even doing anything yet? You say that is his part? His part should be 100% done by the time he's reaching this new one, and it should be called "Final playtest" if anything (still think it's entirely pointless). All the programming, coding and whatever should be done when Programming reaches 100%. He's adding this other bar so he can work at his pisspoor pace and call you in later whenever he is ready. That's why this new bar is useless. That's why this bar is yet another way of giving his supporters something to look at. You can't deny that L&P is getting slower every single year, and there's absolutely zero reason to add another progress bar other than giving L&P more room. You said it yourself, before this bar existed, the updates would have been released 1-2 days after 100% progress was reached.

I think there is intellectual property even in this.
Of course, the model itself is free to buy/use however you want, same with most other assets. I think one could argue that maybe the combination of assets to get this look could enter copyright territory, not sure there.
However, as rAmSiMaL said above me, the whole incentive to create a game with this quality would be the money as it would not be easy work. Without that, who would take on such a project, instead of making their own game?
