Nexer is not able to verify the statements. He has great comparisons and knowledge of many games. All his efforts are merely external comparisons and guesstimates. He has no facts to prove render times. No evidence of work done, and there are many other devs that do great work also. Nexer, as everyone else, does not get to see the actual efforts of L&P. For all we know L&P is actually low balling his numbers by not including research time, time to just sit and cogitate about the story, or digging through all the available assets to create a scene.

In short, only L&P can verify this, and I would want an independent auditor like Deloitte to confirm anything he says LOL. Just Sayin!

As far as 'licking his boots' it has been my observation that most here are very disappointed in the devs communications and in the production rate. Some are satisfied it meets their needs for the time being. That ain't licking. It is a judgement they make for themselves for their situation. Something each of us, (you, me, everyone) is completely insular in determining.

For myself, I have challenged him several times recently for his communications and total failure to seize an opportunity. I doubt his honesty completely and have said as much. I like his artwork and parts of his story, not all. I have been consistent in this challenge.

There are many who, in one way or another, bring these questions as we wait to see if he improves his work results (rate). If all you can do is deride others you waste your time.

I never said I hated this game or its developer. I just use my brains and critical thinking skills to see the facts and share my opinion afterwards. Even if it takes the form of attacks on the developer being himself at the origin of the complications that his game is experiencing.
Now with regard to "haters", I have expressly put the word in quotes to note that this is what L&P and its defendants think of us. But otherwise, I always said here that I like the game but that I have the right to talk about it and to criticize the suspicious attitudes of the dev whenever I want. We are on a free forum after all.

DPC almost spends as much in music as L&P makes from his VN, let that sink in that brain of yours.
We're comparing both devs products. DPC has a way better product, that's why he has his games on steam and 10x the patrons L&P has.

When you maximize your efforts by catering to what the market wants then ofcourse you are going to have people supporting you. Though I have nothing against him making tons of money even while giving poor quality renders. I for one need the quality. If I am playing the game of the biggest dev of the industry and I get such renders it is going to be extremely disappointing.

I need the quality in the renders of the games I play. If the renders have zero attention to detail and the visuals aren't appealing. I can just go and read the script because visually the game is only making me regret.

If this is the quality of renders then I can easily see L&P and majority Dev's pump out 5000+ renders in 6 months. It's no longer surprising. It's literally load the scene, put the characters, hit the render button. And since renders don't have any attention to details the same would apply for animations. All I can imagine them to be is extremely smooth and great motion because of a high frame rate, everything else still would look like this.

And seeing this my respect for Decentmonkey increases. They don't have such contrasts in render quality and pay attention to details and have tons of animation work all in good quality. The production work is definitely far superior.

And anyone who says that what's the point of quality artwork when you don't care about it then it's just your opinion. As some who primarily watches animated media more animation and art quality create a world of difference. In present date some of the popular shows are popular just because of outstanding artwork. Disney spends so heavily on quality, so do the Japanese anime industry only because there is a desire to give something high quality and it definitely reaps benefits.

L&P' s quality is not a waste. One of the prime reasons for him having less patrons is his slow development speed and lack of extremely hot content. That's primarily because the story has not approached it's high point it. What still causes lots of people to talk and play this game is the quality of art and story.

From a technical standpoint L&P's initial renders too are far better than the crap I saw from Badik's renders whereyou can't differentiate the door from the floor and numerous other examples

And when he delivered renders initially that was the best he could do as he was learning it all on his own. The present L&P knows enough to easily make something this far below standard and 100% pump out 5000 such sub par renders. If an artist just makes 1 third class render on his first day of daz doesn't mean that even after 10 years of experience he will still be able to make only 1 third class render in the whole day. For one that person would be able to make high quality art and still deliver 4-5 renders and if he is asked to make renders of the same quality as his first day, he would easily be able to 20-30 of them. Listen to your logic man. It makes no sense.

I don't makeup stuff and say BS. It's evident. I have seen Dev's with 100 patrons do better art than that for their games. BaDik might have a good story and great game mechanics but it is blatantly evident where he gets the time for that.

I started playing 3d games with no regard for render quality, I didn't even know those pictures were called renders and this the game that changed the standards for me. I used to be content with the quality of Devin's life because I didn't know better. L&P initial renders still had effects and details to them, they weren't poor quality. They don't hold a candle to what he can do now but they aren't all that bad. Just because something isn't shiny and eye soothing doesn't mean it is bad.
