It's just so he has an excuse to prolong the development of the game. Unnecessary remakes/remasters/reworks of unfinished games seems to be the newest tactic in the arsenal of Patreon/SubscribeStar/Boosty hustlers.
Straight up untrue.
One of the first posts of the guy after releasing the draft of the game all this time back was about asking people for opinions and ideas about the game central mechanics - usual RPGmaker vs zelda-esque. He said many times through the development, from the very start, that he wants to make the gameplay (as in, the part where you actually play, not fap away) fun to play. And did change and introduce mechanics to help with that with... some success. The basic rpgmaker is not a grand design for engaging gameplay, rarely ever was, its mostly used for walking sim with scenes scattered here and there. If this is the way he wants to archieve that goal of his, well, good as any.
What I mean is, this decision does not feel like a simple cash grab, looking from the time perspective. The maps in game are way better looking than before, with lighting, parlax maps or whatever this is called, and the new scenes are consistently arriving, with (kinda) unrelated shining new pieces from time to time. It at least seems that the guy learns how to make game better, and tries to do so. For now, its not raising any real red flags, or get the feel of being milked for nothing, like LOQOO or evil goddes study cases are. If we are talking about milking tho, the new sub level...

How about that one guy who supports, gets his nick into the credits of the porn game in which you fuck dogs, monsters, etc. (you get the idea), and his nick is his real name and surname. God, help him, he clearly can't help himself.
ok, I solemnly prefer the game before the remake, but on an absurd level prefer it before y'know, not bitching, just making a point
Me too, if we are talking gameplay-wise, the feel of fighting now is wayyy of, and kinda not responsive enough, if you get my meaning. But I must say, this way of playing is infinitely more engagning than "Hold z with command remember on to basically skip every battle", bc this is what it was before. It worked, if you came to the game for the scenes only, but it was glorified visual novel then, with loading bars eerily similar to "battles", as many rpgmaker games are made into that, galleries with annoyances along the way.
