Hey there

Will keep this one brief.

I'm still not at the finish line, and it's not a great feeling knowing you won't be able to deliver on time :(
Last month, I completed approximately 50 additional renders and post-processed around 75. However, there hasn't been much progress on the coding front.

As for the release date, I had initially mentioned May, but since it has already passed, I won't commit to a new specific date just yet. I would like to hear your thoughts on whether it would be fair to pause the Patreon support, considering that I still don't have a final release date to share. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments section.

On another note, I've attached Kos's customs from last month to keep you guys umm........ occupied?

as always, my DMs are open.

Until next time *waves*
Take care!

XO.

I know some people say he is a milker but i just think he bit off more than he could chew.
And had to adjust to game developement.
Yuno

is not a milker and I'm willing to bet my life on it

and as far as I know, the game is delayed and not abandoned

As I said waiting for a game is no problem for me

but as much as I love Yuno I will admit that one thing he did do wrong is his lack of communication

but as long as Yuno does not go radio silent again I'm good

Yeah I know lot of games get abandoned and that's not really what bothers me, I get upset sometimes of course.
I really like a game called Demon boy, but the dev just completely ghosted and now it's abandoned.
Stuff like that is what disappoints me the most.

exactly brother in my experience people don't mind waiting

as long as the developer keeps them updated they don't mind waiting

even if it's a simple hello I'm still here and working on the game. That will do just fine

if I'm being honest I rather have. that' Then wallpapers every month that don't tell me anything

I don't think Yuno is a milker. He was in rendering for several years, creating beautiful fan art, his work is one of the best in the fan art section on F95. He decided to create a game, but perhaps he didn't take into account that it would overload him, work turned out to be harder than he expected. As a result, he got burned out and stuck in the creative process.
I hope that Yuno will come out of the crisis, game has a great potential to become one of the top projects.

And ofc, feedback on Patreon with subscribers is important, otherwise people start to get nervous and doubt.

Don't get me wrong but it's really funny to see all the whining in a piracy forum about the speed of devs. I know, I know, everybody pays their share to the devs. Sure... If the work isn't worth the pay, just stop to pay. Where's the problem?

To me, I take it as a sign that people really enjoyed the game. If they weren't anxious and the dev stopped making new updates, it would indicate people weren't that into the product at the end of the day.

If a dev quits & nobody cares...would anybody post in the thread? Probably not.

Sure they cares. But then they should be honest about it. Most of the guys complaining on this board pretend they hate the devs way. In the case of the milkers, I also agree with the people. However, I find all those ridiculous who start crying after only three months without a new update and insult the devs as milkers. In generally speaking.

In the case of this AVN here, I don't yet know which category I should put the dev into. We have long wait games here and it's what it is. I have had my experiences with both DAZ and Ren'Py and can therefore estimate how much work it is. I know I wouldn't be able to do an AVN with more than one update a year. I have a job and a family. I say like most devs. I really have no idea what some users here have for ideas about creating an AVN and what they themselves think how realistic their expectations are.

But this is the internet. It's always easy to complain. Especially in the anonymity. Just like claiming that you are a patron and therefore have every right to scold. I'm sticking with it: just stop the payments. But we all know that probably only 5 out of 100 people who claim to be a patron actually are one.

I'm thinking the same along those lines. I think he had some expectation of how much more work creating a whole-ass game (writing/storyboarding, soundtrack, coding, game mechanics, etc.) would be compared to just doing renders but it still got the best of him when his day job and working on the game clashed.

Although, I don't think it's a matter of being burned out or stuck. I think it's more of trying to find the happy balance between his real life and this. I'm just going based off of a previous post from Patreon that ended up here but I genuinely think he just struggled from being a hobbyist to being a game dev with Patreons(patrons? whatever) who highly anticipate further installments. I just feel like I can empathize with devs who just do this part-time more than devs who do it full-time. I can imagine keeping that balance is difficult and something had to give. He has his priorities. Most part-time devs are probably basically only working on their games in what free time they have. That's just not something a normal person can do unless they really, really want to do it. His misstep was probably just giving Patreon supporters a simple heads-up about how busy he was and maybe even pausing Patreon for the time being. That would have taken away a lot of the ammo.

It doesn't mean he's milking things but it doesn't really inspire a lot of confidence that this will game will continue in the long-run. I don't really understand too much of the ire against him but I just think it's pretty disappointing how things turned out since this game has a lot of potential.

Edit: Also, hey it's been a while. I'll see you again when Ep 10 comes out in what I'm guessing will be sometime in the end of this year or when I get around to finally finish my playthroughs. :p:cry:
