I can't play this game because I'm afraid it's as good as Being a DIK... help

Just have a box of tissues at the end of the game when it comes to "the big choice."

It'll play with your emotions for sure.

DIK is going to take another 3-4 years for DPC to finish, that's why I don't play it anymore. Acting Lessons is a few hours of fun on a roller coaster ride. They both have good & bad. This is just more, compact, in its length.

Yeah tbh I completely stopped DIK around chapter 5 and waiting for a full release, and it already was a ride in itself. Author is way too good for making fap games, this is scary

Yeah I'm not waiting until I'm nearly 50 to finish a VN. As much as I absolutely LOVE Jill, no thanks. In the end, she's not with me at night when I need it the most. But the same could be said for all of these girls in VNs.

But no, waiting 3-4 years for a VN isn't worth it to me.

Nah I'm good with it. I made my peace with the fact I'm no longer going to follow it. And quite frankly, the thought of going 1o-12 chapters or whatever is daunting while waiting for the final 8, then mods, saves, walkthroughs, just not what I see doing or waiting for during the next 3-4 years. I made sure though to fill that void with other games that are pretty emotional as well, but just don't keep me waiting almost half a decade for a payoff.

So it's fine. Other games give me just as much satisfaction and emotion, so I'm happy.

Too much drama for a porn game.

Well, it's not. The Dev said that they did not intend to create a porn game. It's just R-rated because it's visual. If this was a written novel, it'd be good literature - albeit of course less interactive, with only one ending. Many novels have sex, loss, sudden turns, gut-wrenching impasses, and deep emotions. So does this one. It's not porn. It's literature.

Also, kudos to the writer for sticking to their story.

I think GRRM at some point said that if you set up the story in a certain way but change it because people on internet forums are getting some upcoming reveals or twists right, or are upset with certain developments, you might subvert or circumvert some expectations, but you will no longer end up with a coherent story.

So many here got foreshadows right, and Chapters 6 and 7 sparked a lot of backlash, but the author completed the story they wanted to tell - and it is an even better one for that. Chapeau.

in my opinion this game has a flaw, quite big.

it's all built on the drama of that scene, and it's fine for me that it's inevitable, what's not good is that that scene only works in one case.

it only works if the player is really tied to both girls, otherwise it's a "stupid" drama, hardly felt.

The best path in my opinion was Melissas, her difficult past makes her more interesting and well her model is hotter as well, not gonna lie. Though i also enjoyed Rena but her path seemed the most bittersweet one. On one hand, since the game forced you to have a relationship with Megan, you basically end up betraying her and feeling like shit. On the Melissa's path you guys agree to pursue the relationship together and although Megan or Melissa end up dying, it still feels much better than Rena's path. Though I like Rena more than Megan :/.

Yeah I did the betray Megan route once for the Melissa ending. Never did it again for Rena. It just felt wrong to me leading her on like that, then letting her die in the fire. Not cool.

Not gonna lie, didn't expect to shed a tear during a "porn game". I'll give DPC credit for being a hell of a writer compared to most people making these games.

First time I went through it several months ago, it took me about 4 days to emotionally recover from it, and several tissues during, and after, the ending, and I think for a day or two beyond that. Every once in a while when I do a Megan run it hits me, not as hard, but it still hits.
