No, He doesn`t extract images. He just use F12, and game itself take a screenshot. You shall find it in:

Someone has saves for v13 starting with v12 events? I ask this cause i didn't downloaded v12 and i don't want to restart from the beginning
Read the text files, place the savegames in the correct location and use the options menu to start at the end of v011 by clicking on that.
