I love the style of this game. But the hero is a schoolboy, and to be honest, the female characters are quite similar to each other. But the style is pretty nice anyway.

You spent two years making VN engine for Unity when you could have just used Renpy. There is a reason why people tell devs all the time to use it. Unity is a waste of time and resources.
Training and building something "ideal" for themselves doesn't seem like any waste of anything, imho, and if the Devs are happy with the results, is on the people to like/play or not the game.
Jezz, this art concept is marvelous, shame this will be only 2D V/N. Looking forward to further updates, hope this game will be huge.

Afterglow_Data\Localisation\characters.csv -> change Landlady to Mom
They should really consider idle animations or something while clicking through dialogue to help deviate from the large base of samey 3D porn games. They've done fluid short animations in the past. But perhaps that's better prioritized for actual scenes. If this ends up flipbook I'll be disappointed.

also this might be an unpopular opinion but adding some music or sound effects on the gameplay would be nice idk. feels really quiet. this looks like one of the few games i would actually pay for!

Since this is a shota game and in the early stages. Wouldn't it make more sense to make the main character look like a shota. The perfect example is when the mom is looking at the old picture from the dad's box and you see the son in the tennis photo. That size seems more accurate. Shota doesn't really make sense if the MC is as big as he is. (adult looking, small height)
Just a personal critique meant in a good way. I'd love to hear your teams thoughts?

Really interesting art style. It almost looks like a 3d render that is instead being "flattened" in post processing into a pseudo manga style. I am very interested in seeing a more substantial release!

I thought the game had incest in it. I mean all the promotional images before release was a mother and son. I mean sure you can change the character name to mom but you still end up calling her Meg?

Afterglow is on patreon if they want 2 stay on that site they have to follow the guidelines which are against incest & shota.
If they don't, patreon will remove AG from there plattform that in turn would mean that this masterpiece will be only on Subscribestar which is devastating cause GaussianFracture will earn almost nothing resulting in extremely rare & small updates...
Thats also why they changed the name from Mother Love to Afterglow cause even the title of the game can't have a incesteous name by patreon laws
