Why is it always the same with these patreon developers? Everytime the game is going well they just vanish for no reason. This is such a lame excuse if they are actually working fulltime on this (which i think is pretty likely with a minimum income of over 7k per month), there would've been plenty of time to deliver other updates or at least some more communication.
I'm not really clear on the hate here. What the dev is saying makes sense. The voting system creates rigidity in what content is being created. Which, if an issues arises, forces the devs to work through the issue rather than bypass it. That's just logic. If you're forced to drive route A and there's a pileup, you have to wait for route A to clear up rather than having the flexibility to pivot to route B.
Also, the term he uses "broadcast system" is likely just a generic term to avoid spoilers for Alice's story. Considering Alice seems to despise the MC, this could be a blackmail system, or, since she has caught us in the act a few times, maybe a voyeur system. Either way, that doesn't sound as simple as people seem to think it is. The dev has been putting out solid updates and has earned the benefit of the doubt.
That said, the delay in communication of the issue is a cause for concern, but nobody likes telling their boss they can't deliver what they promised. To me at least, that's how this is coming off. It sounds like somebody ran into an unexpected issue, thought they could get it fixed in time, worked through the due date, thought they could get it done before people were mad, realized that it was too late now, and finally had to report their failure. It sounds like the decision now is whether we wait a bit for the next update and getting a much bigger one with everything we wanted or a smaller one now that doesn't have the part we asked for.

Everyone on this thread enjoy the game and the graphics. I think we all agree with the Dev that voting and doing what the fan wants vs what the Dev wants is more difficult for the Dev. Dev should be able to roll out the game they want
But one of the key benefits for doners that change from 5-10 is this voting feature and 2 days earlier access. So its the shady practice of upcharging, not delivering, poor communication, and then complaining about it like its the doner's fault (which the Dev reaped benefits monetarily) is what the people in the forum is calling out.

boss? you meant supporter, if supporter is the boss. dev is fire already and get replace with nothing being delivery. communicate with your supporter not ghost them. put in irl situation if you pay a lot money for product, the seller told you i will give you the item these day when deadline hit nothing delivery. then you try contact seller no respond. Then delay long period time then seller start contacting you, told you we couldn't delivery item. we have to take out a part of the item, you asking too much. In order to delivery... the item still not ready but continue to buy from us Thanks.
If the supporter want throw money blackhole, that there choice. I'm not against that, that there money not mine. I see people like eat shit, why I'm stop them continue as your please. I just like point poor excuse, and blame supporter that pay dev.

Alice shmalace all I want to see is more Irene and Ruby content though I guess Alice could lead to more Ruby so in a way it is acceptable. I doubt we will ever see an Irene Ruby threesome because of rules. There are is almost to many LI in this to keep track of how close you are to anyone.

I called out the dev for being a fucking manipulative liar YEARS ago. I have no empathy for retarded people having a drama that was to be expected when you give money to a manipulative liar.

You aren't forced to drive route A or route B, you're supposed to arrive at destination C. If there's a pileup on route A you take a different route. No one cares what route you take as long as you get to the destination when you say you will.
Reading between the lines dev is trying to build some kind of dynamic chat scroll, which is kind of an abysmal effort effect ratio. If you get a month or two into a specific feature and its not going well its time to figure out how to fake it or give up. Continually working on the same thing increases your own frustration/stress, raises the stakes for whats expected (since its taken so long to get finished), and leaves the patrons feeling scammed which feeds back into more frustration/stress.
Complainers? I prefer to call them fools, you give hate and call that complaining? You didn't even spend a dime to donate on what basis do you have the right to "complain"?
If you want to complain, please leave a comment on the official Itch.io website. Complaining here will only add to the negative comments without a solution. You enjoy the content for free without donating, but demand freshness? Even donors who support directly don't act like this. Please respect the hard work of content creators and use the right channels to give feedback.

This developer is completely a liar. Six months ago, he announced that he had completed all the content, including Alice, but then postponed it for a month because he had to add the girl in the library to the game to please the people who subscribed on Patreon. And the update didn’t include Alice at all. Then came the monthly extensions with dozens of excuses (moving house, being sick, network issues…) to keep the subscribers from leaving him. And after enjoying a long 6-month vacation, he announced cancellation. Honestly, he is treating those who supported him like fools.
