Also its not like with a little bit of effort this could be turned into a nice game.
Literally everything that makes it an H game, all sex was eliminated without the patch and all genitals were removed entirely.
There will be no optimization or new options, the developers declared this one complete a long time ago and most modders dropped it when Honey Select 2 was found to not have these issues that this one has. The modders that are left are in it to maintain what already exists.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't this another mod along with it Honey select 2? Or, is that a separate game?
It would be if the optimization didn't severely limit the frame rate.
Honey Select 2 was the game to come after this one, same art style, different game. They were made to be similar enough to share player made assets like characters, which Illusion usually doesn't do, so they do have a few things that were in this and got carried over to Honey Select 2.
That would explain why there's less stutter and smoother animation in HC2. Not to mention the different play mode.
When playing this game I keep thinking to myself: "This is full of missed opportunities". On one hand, an absolute must-have. On the other hand, feels like the designers really wanted you to have no fun at all. Almost like as if at the last moment, the very top boss just learned about this product, and asked his team: "Wait, the boys are gonna do what with it? Oh no! Alright, but make it really-really difficult, soul crashing, and frustrating."
They didn't miss much except an opportunity to optimize it correctly and, it looks like anyway, they had to cut several other islands, which are the cause of the lag, because somebody didn't remove unused assets after they were cut.
They could have made this game resemble the "Tale of Forgotten Lives". I kept thinking how similar two games are, and how TFL's mechanics are superior to AS's in every aspect. Except, of course, when it comes to the actual graphics. Illusion absolutely could have had a solid game on their hands, TFL is what I use as the "exhibit A" for how Illusion's game should have played like. That's where the missed opportunity was.
It's an H game, of course it was never going to reach TFL level, but they did miss out on things they could have done to improve what they had by getting rid of the unused islands.
In the Main Game Optimization plugin make sure the option for dynamic bone checks is enabled
There is no such possibility without modding core files, which most modders don't do as it is easier to just use BepInEx to inject mods. You would have to modify the original game code around the AI asking for sex to make them drag you somewhere first.
Could you please explain it in more details, like how do I access this and that. After accessing it, where do I go from here and there. If you could make a guide with images, that would be even better.
