i played this game before without mods and it was fire. (it was a vanilla copy from kimochi.info)
Those 400gbs are atrocious
the download speed on torrents and most of hosting sites are no fit for this size.
also setting up this game is quite painful, still surprises me how i managed to play it back then, i do feel like replaying it though

im getting "this archive is corrupt" whenever i download zip files split nto parts. Any fixes?

You asked a lot of questions in the following, I try to answer AIO.
- 400GB ?: pls note that the BetterRepack (game + game mods) is only 51GB to download.
The "Optional Sideloader Modpack Studio" (~150GB) is a modpack ONLY for StudioNEO and NOT for the game - you don´t need it unless you intend to intensively work with Studio (creating scenes and animations).
So all in one we speak about ~ 200GB to download.
- torrent: quite new for me 400GB (or better 200GB) should be a problem - is just a matter of time. Anyway you can leave it alone, running overnight or while work, as easy as can be
archive corrupt: this happens often if working with splitted files.

IMPORTANT: use only 7-Zip to extract, WINRar is known to have issues with certain files.

turbojoe i downloaded this version (also gdrive was convinient i downloaded it within couple of hours successfully), i just wanted to play the game again but with mods that could make most of cards work.
The last time i downloaded the game was somewhere in 2020-2021 from kimochi info and i stored it on my portable driver which broke unfortunately. I wanted to mod but at that time i found it confusing how to mod and most of mods and resources were unavailable or strictly paywalled.
Also i say 400gb bc, when you are in process of extracting the game - the overall size of things doubles.

Never happened to me that torrent download crashed
And if this is another download source it´s all about yours - I already told you what´s the best and easieat way.

This modpack may not be useful as long as you have an outdated game version with old main mods (especially BepInEx). All newer mods may not run properly with old BepInEx version.
Last recommendation from me: skip your old shit, make a clean new download/install of BetterRepack R15, then run "update" (InitSetting or KK-Manager).
If this is running fine you can transfer your old UserData and MyMods into the new game.
And at least: if you get help here in these threads you shouldn´t forget giving "Likes"

btw what are the "OPTIONAL Mods" folder? is that the mods i have to drop manually myself into mods directory?

Yep - but most of them are Plugins and directly to copy into the game main folder.
You see, if you open the folder.
I for example using PushUpPlugin, Beaver, UIScaler and LipSync.
