Pretty skippable update to be honest, especially when the download size is about 5gb.
well it contains everything happened up-to-now.Pretty skippable update to be honest, especially when the download size is about 5gb.
I agree. It's interesting that Alexandra and MC are setting up a Crime Family within a Crime Family. He seemingly unknowingly made Yuri the equivalent of an Underboss or a Capo and James the equivalent of a Lieutenant. He just needs a Consiglierge. He even has Associates that "work" with him. It's like Alex is preparing him, knowingly or not, to be her Underboss.
updatedPlease, updated for [v0.86] !
THANKS in advance...
I don't see it quite that way. Alex is utilizing MC's strengths but she still cares about him. She knows she has control over him and that he's loyal to a fault. He is, almost quite literally, like a puppy. She always means it affectionately. I don't think Alex herself really realizes what she is actually doing. Her fear for her father and the situation that they find themselves in has overridden how she normally would be. She's taken steps that have started to lead her down her father's path. I don't really think she is fully aware of it and it was something she said early on. That she was afraid that she was "more like her father than he thinks". I think it is on the MC to curb some of Alex's irrationality and not let her go down the dark path. And that's an interesting hypothesis about the dreams and adds another layer to them, but I don't think that's all they are. They're supernatural.I've really enjoyed this game so far, and I've even dug the "Puppy" nickname, but the last update especially has made me think that the nickname — strictly as used by Alex — has begun to feel less like a symbol of affection and more like a sign of her dominance over the MC and his subservience to her. She initially wanted him to become more than a "foot soldier", but he's still an errand boy; her errand boy, to be precise. She even jokingly makes references here and there about how he's a "brute", or something similar, who's good with his "hands", which seems like an acknowledgement on her part that she is prepared to utilise his violent side. This is pretty messed up, considering that the MC is too naive to see that his nightmares reflect his glaring vulnerability. If I remember correctly, the only moment in the update in which he challenges her orders (or whatever we call them) is when he asks her if "We'll fight to the last drop of MY blood?" and she laughs. What's interesting is that he doesn't realise that he can't leave behind a past of violence and that, despite being intelligent, she either doesn't realise or intentionally overlooks the possibility that her man's nightmares could well be linked to his inability to overcome this violent nature. Their interactions, especially in this update, increasingly suggest that she exploits this side of him for her personal gain, whether she knows it or not.
I imagine that depending on the choices you as the player choose (that don't lead to immediate dead-end game overs) will have an affect there. Whether he accepts the berserker blood rage that makes him violent and learns to channel it into a weapon and becomes a cruel kingpin or if he's able to curb and beat his darker nature and pull himself and the girls back from the "darker path".For those who like the development of this plot path, that's not a bad thing. For what it's worth, it's well-written and captivating. But playing the update, I kept wanting the MC to develop some intelligence (to come closer to understanding his nightmares) and backbone (to question some of Alex's orders, at least, and how he is possibly being used to further her objectives). I'm not sure if I'm alone in this, but I'd like to see the MC come to understand the path he's on, to play his cards close to his chest, and to devise some exit strategies. I'd love to see him help Boris and Agatha or put them in good hands, get rid of some men and women who want him dead and any other loose ends, and then maintain his sanity and walk another path, whether Alex walks with him or not.
Very good observations!!!I don't see it quite that way. Alex is utilizing MC's strengths but she still cares about him. She knows she has control over him and that he's loyal to a fault. The MC heals abnormality fast from wounds that should have been fatal or debilitating. The MC has almost never been sick according to an in-game comment. The MC has nearly superhuman levels of strength and maintains his physique with minimal training and caloric intake. On-screen, at least, he eats nowhere near enough food to keep up his body and muscle mass to those almost bodybuilder freakish levels that he has. I mean, rule of cool is a thing and fiction is fiction but combined with everything else that is going on? The shared dreams between Isabella and MC. The increased healing factor. Alexandra's heightened intelligence (she's at the top of her classes and school has always been easy for her with seemingly minimal effort save for cramming before an exam). In fact, all three main characters are quite smart and quick-witted, albeit in slightly differing ways. Even the Player-MC. He's shown that he's "not just a brute" on several occasions but to other characters, not to Alexandra. Hell, even the MC's ability to attract women and somehow them being at least a little okay with the poly-amorous nature of their relationships is almost supernatural. Again, rule of cool, fiction, power-fantasy, and it being a erotic/'porn' game all play a part in those choices from a development standpoint. However, In-Universe, it starts to make a bit of sense if you think about it as being something 'supernatural' about the Player-MC and the situation they're in.
It is possible I'm seeing things that aren't there, but that's what I find interesting besides just the top-layer of the plot. There are several layers of things going on and several possible explanations. It isn't as clear-cut as it might seem.
Edit: Not to mention James' sister knowing about "Cherubael" as well as Izzy's mother's situation. Also, thinking about it, I think perhaps Alexandra might have some form of Dissociative Identity Disorder (aka "Multiple Personality Disorder") that separates her 'domineering Boris-like side' and her normal personality.

All in all, there is a lot of weird shit going on that can't just be explained by psychoanalyzation and Oneirology. Something, even if not entirely supernatural in nature, very fucky is going on.
There's definitely supernatural occurrences in the game, however they're interpreted. All we can do is make inferences on what we see before us. My view is that the MC, Alex and Izzy are probably half-siblings. Having the same father and different mothers is one possibility.I don't see it quite that way. mc isn't bloodrelated to izzy or alex. There's definitely supernatural occurrences in the game, however they're interpreted. All we can do is make inferences on what we see before us. Well, about that... uhhh. That may not be true. It hasn't been addressed in the story, but there are some... hints that that may not entirely be the case. Especially with the Cherubael stuff hinting at something. You're right that there isn't a lot of evidence for it, but I'd not be surprised if he somehow winds up related to them, even if Boris isn't the father. Maybe Boris had a sister and the MC is her kid or something. Pulling shit out of my ass as an example, but you get the point.mc isn't bloodrelated to izzy or alex.
It was more a personal view than a statement of fact. I'm going more by hints than any tangible evidence. Agatha's revelation, for instance, is one hint. She may be mentally unwell, but that doesn't mean that all of her memories are inaccurate. I think another hint is the way in which the MC, Izzy and even Alex are somehow inexplicably connected by their dreams, for one. At one point earlier in the game, when the MC gets stabbed and is left bleeding in his car, Alex has a nightmare about him, leading her to him. Later on Izzy has one about him at the mansion, which pushes her to get Alex to check on him during the night. Again, all hints, but there's a chance that they could reflect some kind of blood relation between the three.mc isn't bloodrelated to izzy or alex.
