Where can I enable this setting? I've tried looking into the .ini and i don't see anything.

If you're using the original boned mod, you have to press right and left timing it with the purple flash that appears or when that cock thrust into her. Don't just spam it.
If you are using the new mod, spamming it works fine, but you have to have control to get out (hold up when caught). If you have full control, I say you can get caught 2 or 3 times before you can't escape.
Use f12 to instant kill although it seems the f12 is also the mod function button probably by mistake.
edit - the newest version seems to have a few conditions to get control back manually. I'm not sure what it is but you can't gain control right off the bat. It will regenerate though.

Hmm... its not broken, I'm doing it now np. Are you on a controller? That could be the issue.
You have to alternate up and down in order to regain control. You cannot just hold up.

Control bar needs to be ~65% full before trying to escape usually. Pressing up/down during grapple slowly restores Control. Wait for Endure bar to empty to get the most effective left/right struggle. The monster's Enforce duration at the beginning of a grapple reduces escape effectiveness until depleted. Escaping a monster's ejaculation is not always possible if you've taken too much Control damage so you may want to just use Endure to build as much Control as possible in order to escape the next grapple.
I also linked dev build #5 kind of quickly to address an end game bug but within build #5, there was a new mechanic where monsters randomly gain a fetish for accepting/struggling/enduring player actions which speeds up or slows down the animation and literally makes their penis larger or smaller. Monsters with a fetish for struggling are harder to escape from versus monsters with a fetish for enduring are easier to build control quicker from but it is random so purely luck based.

He's the kind of guy that actually uses patreon only when he's actively working on something. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back in a few months. Why are people going ape-shit the moment he goes silent? He's been like that for as long as most can remember.
The doors don't remain locked in the shield boss room, allowing me to bypass it and continue on to Mother Brain.
I accidentally found that out after inflicting a few hits on it then the doors somehow just decided to open.
