checked its patreon and Yni says health issues for long disappearance. New updates? I have no clue whatsoever. What happened? Patreon nuke? Dev illness?
bummer. thanks. odd how so many devs end up with health issues; especially around update time. . . .checked its patreon and Yni says health issues for long disappearance. New updates? I have no clue whatsoever.
Really odd. Just like the health issues which strangely affect most of my coworkers during Christmas season. I think something weird is going onbummer. thanks. odd how so many devs end up with health issues; especially around update time. . . .
and this post is already three months old again.....xdxd
There has to be something more going on. It just doesn't make sense, this game is almost done if the dev would just wrap up the story. It's not like those obvious scam games where they put out some AI art demo and ask for donations and then never touch it again.i have no problem with the game being abandoned. my problem is that the dev is somehow still trying to make money out of the whole thing and doesn't make any effort at all. and apparently enough people are still shoving money up his ass even though it's been clear for over a year that the dev is screwing everyone.
They're clearly happy to let money flow in. If there's something else going on, it takes no effort at all to be upfront that the project needs to be on an extended hiatus. Instead they promise that it will be out in some form of just a few days away or right around the corner and then abandon again. It's low effort, and big courtesy to people sending you money every month to communicate. There has to be something more going on. They've already put hundreds of hours into developing this game... it would be so easy to finish it and maintain a good reputation. They could probably make more money after that by just teasing a new project if money was the goal.
I agree 100% that they need to communicate better if they need an extended break and not make promises they can't keep. I'm very surprised that they still have as many patreon supporters as they do.They're clearly happy to let money flow in. There are several games that had a lot of potential, but were abandoned, an example is Bone's Tales. It's sad to know that sometimes it's because of a lack of money. Those devs always abandon good games fk them fr
Yeah Bones' Tale is probs the worst example of this...Doc recently started doing streams showing WIPs but that's probs cause all the supporters got fed up paying for 0 progress...IDK of a single kidney stone case that was so bad it would cause over a year of not being able to do any work...There are several games that had a lot of potential, but were abandoned, an example is Bone's Tales. Except death, but devs practically always come back at a moment. So, maybe, they are able to resurrect ...Yeah Bones' Tale is probs the worst example of this...Doc recently started doing streams showing WIPs but that's probs cause all the supporters got fed up paying for 0 progress...IDK of a single kidney stone case that was so bad it would cause over a year of not being able to do any work...
